Reminds me of Discreet Music by Brian Eno. Nice stuff. Thanks.

[quote=bluntmuffin]Boards of Canada. Very happy

another vote for boards of canada, brilliant duo from Balerno Edinburgh, new album long overdue.

For deep spaces and places I also recommend "The House In The Woods", the album is called "The Deep Tapes", amazing electronic stuff.

Okay, the question is, which Residents album. I can see The Commercial Album or maybe even Duck Stab/Buster Glenn... but Vileness Fats or The Mole Show.. well, maybe Intermission would be okay.

Wow! You are a daredevil.

wow. yes, I'm a big fan of the residents, but they would not be my first choice for background music for trips.

T.O.N.T.O. is a huge modular synthesizer built in the 70's and used on some popular albums, including a bunch of Stevie Wonder records. Here's a picture of the synth for any of you synth geeks:

Shocked That's a big synthesizer! I use a software modulation synthesizer, so I guess it's the size of my PC...

I tend to prefer 'sounds' more than 'songs' for my experiments. A modular synthesizer is a wonderful tool for creating sonic backdrops. Great for Set And Setting.

Musical recommendations include;
O Yuki Conjugate
Kenneth Newby
Coil (especially the later stuff)

haha yea, The Residents wouldn't be my first choice for a DMT trip. More of an experimental thing to see how fucked up your trip can be! It was kind of a joke although I do really dig them. It would be hard to choose a song.. how about The Elektrocutioner?

SWIM has had truly amazing experiences listening to ahee.bandcamp.com on DMT (particularly the Synchronicity Sampler), and the entities are always really impressed with the music. "evboluta" in particular, I was told while I was over there, is designed to heal consciousnesses when listened to on DMT: http://ahee.bandcamp.com/track/evbulota-2

If any of you try it out sometime, I'd very much like to hear about your experiences.

Carrier tune is the best imo.

with SWIM s friends, we either play http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOFTDCoxedc , or other tibetan bowl kinda stuff (we have foubnd strong corralation with singing bowls and enitities), or nothing. SWIM s friends do the whole shpongle thing but SWIM thinks that takes a certain quality out of the experience.

I smoked some crystalline DMT with a very nice girl once whilst listening to some chill Mt. Eden.

Man...brings back memories. I kissed her a couple minutes after passing eachother the bowl...it was unbelievable. A part of me wants to burst into tears, just thinking about it.

Highly recommended:

Well from my experience, the best music for a journey is a light breeze jogging through some nearby trees, pushing the leaves out of its way as it moves past, the sounds of the waves in a nearby lake-slowly slapping the shore, and nature in general, provides fo rthe best melodies.

I believe DMT 'can' work a lot better if one puts him or her self into a trance. Any music can induce a trance like state if you listen to it in a certain way. Its hard for me to put in to words what I'm trying to say right now but if you can allow the music to guide you and allow the DMT to do with it what it wants then i believe the experience 'can' become a bit more heeling, a bit more strange, and a bit more meditative not that it ever isn't those three things already. I some times like to listen to progressive psychedelic music when using DMT eg. Perfect Stranger, Quantize, Ace Ventura. If you let this trance you well wen using DMT i believe the world can start speaking to you in a way you 'may' not have seen before.

Of course this all depends on person, time, place etc.

Positive tripping to all!

I've never been much for the "new age" music genre but once while tripping this shit was on and Wow it absolutely made my trip on of the best ever. Check this, I put it on rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/fi...5/01_Meditation.mp3.html

The music was absolutely controlling the trip and it was awesome. Afterwards I felt like this music must have been made just for DMT tripping Smile

This link doesnt work , could you check it, quite interested.

I like Steven Roach at the moment for zoning out.

also, the terrence McKenna and Zuyana - Dream Matric telemetry is still hard to beat.

So hard to find tunes that are just right, often great tracks but few albums consistent.

In my opinion Ratatat is perfect for a trip. Whenever im peeking on some Lucy or Mushrooms, i'll throw on some Ratatat and watch the room turn into waves of vibration. Bliss

Ratatat - Drugs

Ratatat - Wildcat

I think Lifeforms, the Lifeforms EP and Cascade EP are something very special indeed.

The End- The Doors

Perfect old psychedelic feel, I actually smoked to this last night and had a beautiful experience shooting into hyperspace during the first solo. that was unplanned but I wouldnt have it any other way. Try it if you like the vibe it brings.
