A very inspiring lecture held by cognitive scientist and philosopher, Daniel C Dennett.
If you like it I really recommend reading his book (one of many) Consciousness Explained.



...I wonder who his idol is? =)

I can't watch the video as im on holiday with a poor net connection, but what should replace religion?

Not sure if I've seen this one before, I'll have to check it out when I get home. I always enjoy listening to Dan Dennets talks.

What can a world that's growing more atheistic learn from religion.
He is basically talking about the bad things with religion that we dont need like teaching people not to
reason and all it's implications (you have probably heard all the arguments before) but also
discusses the good things that religion gets right like a strong community, tradition, how they give people hope, welcoming people with addiction problems etc.
