I decided, for some reason or other to smoke some DMT in my bathroom while the shower was running. As soon as I inhaled the vapor, the sound of the water splattering in the shower, increased by volume and intensity ten thousand fold. My bathroom soon vibrated out of existance, and I was soon shimmering, exploding, and splattering inside a rushing river-like universe. Whoa, It probably wasn't a great idea to leave the shower running. Now.. I wonder what it would be like to smoke some dmt IN the shower.... Expect nothing, Receive everything. I sometimes wake up from a journey with my mouth wide open, frozen in a look of utter shock and awe. Now I wonder what if I smoked in the shower..... and drowned. Meh, just being Mr downer dude.. Obviously everything the Shaman says is Hyperspace Hyperbole

I did a search for an article i read some time ago. http://www.lycaeum.org/diseyes/fresh/dmtspir.htmPlease for the love of humanity please take care of yourselves, to the OP and the readers alike. Consuming psychedelics has inherent risks and thus should be treated with respect. Always use a sitter (sober, minder person) and do not put yourself in any risky situations... like using DMT in the bath or at the waters edge. I need not mention the tale of a young girl whom met an unfortunate end involving water and a certain psychedelic substance. Tho the details of the above are unclear it is imperative (Read: very fucking important) that a sober sitter is at hand with attention focused on the explorer, ESPECIALLY anywhere near water. This thread subject makes me feel somewhat uneasy, due to its obvious risks and the fact many people may end up reading it and becoming inspired. “Right here and now, one quanta away, there is raging a universe of active intelligence that is transhuman, hyperdimensional, and extremely alien... What is driving religious feeling today is a wish for contact with this other universe.” ― Terence McKenna

I have smoked DMT in the shower more times than I can count. It's a very intense experience. If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

SWIM likes DMT in the bath and shower and there's no way that she would require a sitter in these situations. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

Hmm.. I think I will have to try it. I Think I will definitely have a friend present just in case. As I am known to slump down motionlessly from a big inhale of DMT and I imagine I would slip in the shower. Being just outside the shower was very intense, so I can only imagine what the water would feel like in the shower, and the sound. By the way xtechre, I really liked this article Expect nothing, Receive everything. Sounds totally awesome.
Plus, you'd be all clean, which is just a great way to jump into a psychedelic trip. =)
I'd advise sitting down in the shower. Standing while smoking DMT just sounds like a bad idea, especially in a shower where you can potentially slip and fall.
Why'd you say that it "probably wasn't a great idea", OP?

Are we talking a cubicle here, or a tub with a shower head?
I may just get some old patio furniture out this summer and set up a jig to aim and hold a power hose. I guess I'd step on the hose, then take it all down in one hit, then lift my foot.

The shower is my safety zone. I go there when trips get too intense or I'm too messed up. The white noise and rushing water can clear your mind very well. It would probably be too loud for me to comfortably start a DMT trip though. All Posts are fiction and only exist to entertain

have to agree with the more conservative comments here. Having fallen asleep in a hot tub more times than I care to remember - while completely sober - I think that would be unwise. On the other hand, taking a shower while coming down at the end of cactus voyage, when I know from experience that everything is back under control, can be a very nice thing. WHOA!

Once during a mushroom trip i was doing some yoga & suddenly felt like taking a shower, as i placed the shower head over my crown i saw the sahasrara chakra... it was purple & pouring out petals from its centre in all directions endlessly, it was epic & really spurred on my spiritual search, i never heard of chakras or anything before and about 2/3 days after this experience i ended up reading a seemingly random booklet by Ramana Maharshi that described the sahasrara...

SWIM has an old style clawfoot tub that supports her body perfectly while the shower sprays down. I wouldn't compare this to a hot tub and also think that unwise. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

I've often thought of smoking DMT in the bath. Dunno why I haven't tried yet. I have taken a shower on pharma though and that was fun as fuck Told my friends if they heard a loud thud, someone should probably check on me... "Science without religion is lame. My friend has smoked DMT + harmalas in the shower, but we do have a 5x5 steam shower with two shower heads, and he said he was sitting down the whole time. I wuold only say smoking DMT in the shower is safe if you can sit down without the water running on you blockin your nose or whatever. even then a sitter would be good. Apparently quite a mystical experience, being in that water world. They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Immediately after my last breakthrough, 2 or 3 minutes after smoking, I decided to jump in the shower. Although it took a lot of courage to do it, Just coming back from hyperspace and all, I didn't even know what a shower was. It was an awesome experience, The steam from the shower, and the water surrounding me made for an extremely enjoyable experience, and the DMT visuals looked very cool, very fluid with all the steam in the room. very... Sensational. Ill have to do it again for sure. But I don't think I have the courage to breakthrough IN the shower, That would be too crazy for me Expect nothing, Receive everything. Bah I smoke changa and hit a hot shower all the time. You gotta have the capability to stand while tripping which I guess some have trouble doing. I think with changa motor coordination even with a breakthrough dose is much stronger. I regularly take walks while smoking from a small pipe. Stairs tho they do pose a issue for me. It is for me a excellent purification ceremony I will run the shower with the pipe outside the curtain lean out take a couple hits and slip down the drain. The closest I have come to taking a bath on spice is in a floatation tank. I never had any issues. That's a lie I had one issue I was tripping on DMT while in a floatation tank. Here's some more things you can try: http://www.shamanisticblue.com/?page_id=70If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

Thanks a ton for the link vovin, I have also noticed the flashlight effect, I once stared into a strobe light, and I saw the most brilliant, intricate, rotating diamond. In 3d! (4d actually) I find it more fun, then difficult to walk around after a breakthrough. Drunk on tryptamines I guess. Expect nothing, Receive everything. I would probably not recommend someone try DMT in the shower for the first time, but if you're a seasoned voyager & know how it affects you & the reality of your setting, it seems like it could be a worthwhile thing to do. i've recently had the idea of trying some DMT in the shower. although i have a couple concerns for this escapade- 1. getting my bowl wet while trying to smoke 2. not being prepared to blast off in the shower, and then stupidly setting my bowl down and getting it all wet/spilling the spice. also maybe losing my balance and falling over or something... i dunno. i have gotten high in the shower more times than i can remember, and i always love taking showers while tripping. there is nothing better than a nice, hot shower after a good trip. although recently i have been having some problems getting the best results just by smoking DMT in my bowl... i seem to be hit or miss as to whether i light it correctly or burn it. i am going to look for a torch lighter soon. You are me and I am you, I'll always be with you...
