hey guys,

I'm not really the talkative type so this will be basic and to the point but please ask anything you want (well almost anything Pleased.

My interest in psychoactive plants and chemicals started with cubensis mushrooms around 10 years ago (around when I was 20). Since then I've cultivated my own, been a member of the shroomery forums, researched various other psychedelics, mostly plant types and about two years ago experienced my first ayahuasca session. I've always been a very responsible person with substances and thankfully not prone to addictions. There is so much potential in personal/spiritual growth and neuroscientific research through psychedelic substances that fascinates me and keeps me reading as much as I can.

This forum has helped me to execute my first successful extraction of any alkaloid (mimosa STB) and my current goal is to find out more about what specifically DMT is capable of and to keep track of any scientific developments as well as people's experiences and thoughts on this incredible substance.

Alright! Well, I probably forgot to mention various things here but this shouldn't be too long anyway as I'm guessing you'll have plenty of these threads to read on a daily basis Smile
I'm really looking forward to interacting with the crowd here!

p.s: this site's background colour is fantastic.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Welcome to the Nexus Smile

Good to know you've been able to find your balance in the relationship with these substances! Also nice about the successful extraction and all...

Btw I agree with you with the forum background and looks in general Very happy

Question: Did you have more ayahuasca or oral dmt experiences after that first one ? Whats your ideal setting for these experiences?

See ya!

thanks man!

i've taken ayahuasca twice in a ceremonial setting (i waited one year before i returned, scared), under guidance of shamans. Not in the rainforest but most definitely a very special place with skilled people around. So i've nothing to compare it to, but my ideal setting is probably what i experienced these 2 times: semi secluded place out in nature with trees, a maloca hut with campfire in the middle, puking pits with buddha statues and candles outside (yes really) and music making and chanting shamans inside, with 15 participants or so. It has been another year since then and it's never easy for me to take the plunge and return for another session.

My first DMT only experience was only a few days ago when i finally managed to get enough smoke in with the right pipe. It immediately transported me to a place i also visited with the aya. This was in my living room though, with a good friend.

What's your experience with aya and/or dmt?

Cool! U in northern europe? (dont have to answer if you dont want Smile ) That setting sounds nice! Indeed small groups and nature and/or comfort and safety of one's own home is good way to take aya and smoke dmt.

Yeah I've participated in indigenous ceremonies, also urban aya religions or small group/alone 'private' experiences, also pharma and smoked dmt.. All very special in their own way, always a humbling and learning experience. Smile

Btw, if you have some money to spend, do invest in a GVG and a torch lighter, it makes all the difference in the world for vapping dmt! Or maybe try infusing some herbs and smoking in a water bong.

All the best with your future experiences Smile

you can't get anywhere without patience Smile
i'd say people who are interested in dmt for reasons other than a quick rush are generally fascinating and kind beings.

Yes, I wonder too, and when we have a fuller understanding of the workings of the human brain (hopefully the first computer simulated brain will be made in the next decade), could we answer this question? Is it a matter of understanding where consciousness resides? All of these things are profoundly awe inspiring questions imo.

I'm in Holland Smile And hopefully it's OK to disclose this information so bluntly. Maybe i'll regret this one day but i'm not very concerned with privacy (up to a certain point) and won't be using the 'SWIM' style of posting. Time to browse the FAQ on this issue perhaps.

I'll have to look into those. I'm currently using a slightly modified glass vaporizer pipe. nothing too fancy. Torch lighter: check! Thanks for the recommendation. And thanks a lot, I wish the same to you!
