Hello, I'm Kareem. I just started experimenting with spice. I first read about it several years ago, but did not have the means or space to preform any kind of extraction. I've tried different types of psychedelics, mainly LSD, DXM, and mushrooms.
Recently I tried layzman's tek, since an STB extraction seemed to be the easiest one for a beginner to try. The first pull yielded minimal results, just a threshold dose. For the second pull, i mashed the bark extensively and soaked in solvent for almost 10 hours. I let this air dry in a glass dish with no fan blowing on it. It took considerably longer of course, but the yield was much higher and didn't collect as much debris. I repeated this again for the next pull except I heated the solvent to 120 degrees.
I set out to try the spice. I took several big hits on the spice, and immediately felt it. It was quite an trip but far short of the break through experience I am looking for. I am looking forward to trying changa mixtures and different extraction teks.

how are you vaping the Spice? that might be a problem for not getting to where you want to be.

im glad you finally got to try dmt. keep working on your method of consumption it will only get better!

STB is not a bad way to go but be sure your stuff is relatively pure. I know it's a little late to suggest but I recommend getting pre powdered bark if you can as that makes it much easier to pull out the product in a much shorter time. A lot of places that sells bark dont charge a additional amount for it to be powdered.

gammagore -I have a corn cob pipe, i put a screen down, some herb down, put spice on top, put herb on the very top. I light it from as far away as possible and it doesn't seem to be burning the spice.
vovin - I quickly regretted getting the whole bark. I plan on getting the powdered bark for sure

almost forgot, SWIM is working on a freeze precip, could use any advice i could get on the subject.

What exactly would you like to know?

basically I would like advice on a proper freeze precip. Do I need to read disolve the crystals in naptha after i freeze, and filter the crystals from the naptha?

Ive been having a few problems with low yields during freeze precips the last week. Low yields, hard to get the dmt out of the mason jar, and a seemingly low purity. I tried a few different fixes. First, i let the naptha soak much longer, first 20 hours, then 24 hours. That didnt help much. I tried evaporating in a dish, then freezing. This still didnt work. I settled on 24 hour naptha soak, then a plain air evaporation. What could I be doing wrong here?

also, the air evaporation turned out great. High yield and a good product.
