Anyway, I've been interested in psychedelics for over 10 years. 8 Years ago was my first encounter with mushrooms.
I've played around with various substances such as a variety of 2C-x/DOx Compounds, Dragonfly, cacti, Salvia, LSD. etc.

I once struggled with hard drug addiction in the past, and thankfully psychedelics have helped me in my recovery.
(Although I still do get cravings, psychedelics help keep me in check)

Recently I performed a DMT extraction and so far yielded about 3 grams. (I only have a gram left )

Anyway, I'm interested in the same things you are.

Psychology/Philosophy/Mysticism/Shamanism/Ethnobotany/Language/Physics&Maths/Programming. ETC.

EVERYTHING.

Which makes it difficult for me in terms of finding a 'major'.

by major i am assuming a college major? If so that is a hard choice. I started undecided then when it was time for me to declare i still hadn't given it any thought so went with business. I stuck with that for a while until someone asked me if i enjoyed it. I had somewhat of a 'prelife crisis' and switched majors to geology. It includes a little bit of everything and hopefully will let me see the world for all its beauty and keep me outdoors.

I agree finding a major path through life can be a bit of a tough decision but just make sure you are doing something you love (even if it's just for the time being)

Glad psychedelics have shaped your life for the better, but how recently was this extraction? Going through 2 grams of dmt (smoking) in a short amount of time is probably not the best idea. I know several people who seem to prefer the reality psychedelics offer over this one and in a sense have lost touch with it. I think psychedelics are useful tools but like anything can be abused.

Bring the insight they give you back to this reality and use it to change the world for the better.

Yeah, by major I mean college major.

The problem for me with school is. -- I can learn so much more without school, thanks to knowing how to research and having the internet at my fingertips.
I guess the socialization factor of school is what makes it worth it.
Real human interaction and what-not.

Anyway, I guess I'll just keep on truckin' until I find out what I want to do.
I just don't want to live a routine-based life. I want to learn and see more to explore.

I just recently did the extraction this month. I went through about a gram in just one session. (not all in one hit, just a blast every ten minutes)

I've always had a problem with getting carried away, and maybe this is what I needed to come to this realization.

I think I'm going to take a long break (at least a month), and integrate the experience in my day-to-day life.

1g in a session is a HUGE amount, are you sure you vape efficiently ? What is your vaping device ?

As for your difficulty in finding a major, I had the same problem until I understood that math is the language of the universe and can bring
you to work in any scientific field

Well I use my regular spoon pipe, although it's not efficient, it's effective.

I usually load weed in the bowl then put the dmt on top of that, and bring the flame barely to the crystals, just enough to let it melt. I've got my technique down with using a spoon pipe, and it's been working wonders for me. Although efficiency would be ideal since I don't like to be wasteful, but I just have to work with what I've got.

That is how I feel about math.

I was taking some college physics classes, but eventually decided to drop that. There were just too many irrationally over-rational people that just wouldn't use their imagination.

My interests are language, since I believe as Terrence McKenna once suggested that everything is made up of language, and I've noticed this from DMT trips.

I'm thinking Computer programming would be the best of both worlds in terms of language and mathematics.


I would love to contribute something beneficial to society somehow.

anyway I kind of dislike the statement "everything is made up of language". To me that sounds like "everything is made of cream puffs" or whatnot. What does this statement mean? What kind of language are you referring to and in what sense. Certainly the idea of perception has something to do with language since the input is in a way translated into some form of comprehensive (or not so comprehensive) depiction in our minds, which we can only communicate to others or really understand in a way that we can manipulate it or use it through language, because this is how we are built... But this doesn't mean that the input in itself is language.

And here we see the failings of language when terms are used to loosely - in fact I have no idea what you mean by saying 'everything is language'. It sounds good but upon critical analysis I don't understand it because I don't know what your definition of language is, nor your definition of 'everything'.
Are you speaking about everything from the homo-centric kind of world view where the universe is created by the percieving entitity, namely us? Or are you speaking of a world that is out there, separate from yourself? Or everything existing interdependent of one another?
Also it#s good to keep in mind: the map is not the territory! Only because something can be mapped onto something else, namely 'everything' onto 'language' in your hypothesis, it doesn't mean that they are really one and the same.

So for clarification for this confused mind, could you elaborate?
