It's been a long time since I wrote one of these, so I'll apologise if it sounds a bit disjointed.

I'll begin with a short history.
When I was about 14, I remember hearing for the first time about psychedelics. (class discussion of the 60's.can only go so far withought the mention of acid )
in a class full of 'lol trippy retards' reactions, I remember sitting silently at the back, knowing that as soon as I thought I was ready, Acid would be my life's dream to take. I read histories of the 60's, discovered Ginsberg, a bit of Huxley, and then Shulgin. A god, to my by then 16 year old mind. Literally a day after finishing PIHKAL, I knew that I was ready. (or felt that I was. I am willing to admit that perhaps I jumped the gun, and should have waited a few more years, but so far I haven't seen a reason why. Acid helped me grow into who I am now, a fact that anyone who knows me will attest to) fate shines on the well prepared, and so, a month after my mental declaration, I found myself on a grassy slope, strumming guitars and banging drums with a group of musicians that I knew by acquaintance, and had run accross this sunny afternoon. I Saw dilated pupils, far away looks, and heard exclamations that I thought sounded right, so I summed up the courage to ask.
Blotter squares came out. The evening dissolved. I was in.

I took acid a few more times with the same group, but then moved away to foreign lands, and had to look afresh.

A new country... A place where friends spent their summer in Goa, then returned with bottles of clear, unscented 'duty free perfume'... An unlimited, pure supply, undetectable and beautiful to look at. 100's of ml's, sitting on desks, in cupboards etc... And yet nobody in the circle partook more than a few times a year. These were their lifetime supplies, and I had 3 of the most enjoyable experiences in my life- 200 micrograms, 350, and a final one of 100- by this point I could bring the trip on mentally, and did not need as much.

It was here I first heard of DMT- a mythical thing that none had ever tried. (some countries have banned every source- no jurema, no p viridis, nothing)
and so I dreamt. And started reading this website. (about a year ago)

I was 19 now. Moved countries again. And behold!!! Materials!!

I made Ayahuasca (Mimosahuasca, actually- with Syrian rue)
over 12 hours I prepared it, followed a form of dieta for a week, and recited prayers to the mixture.

8 hours. 8 hours of the single most intense experience of my life. I was speechless for two days afterwards, as I knew no one who would understand what I felt, or had seen.

It took a few months, but I became friends with two brazilians who had also partaken. We could sit in silence, and yet still understand each other. We decided that the next level was afoot.

I'm planning on making pure DMT. We know the extraction(lazyman) and have sources of materials. And yet so many questions, and so I come here for advice. I love the way this community writes and thinks, and would be honoured to be a part of it.

Wonderful reading Scotfreak, seems like you've had a great relation with acid. I have too just resently joined the forum but I welcome you nevertheless. I am also making my first extraction soon, it has been delayed due to some anti Dmt raids i the UK the suppliers say.
People here on the forum seems to be very helpful so just ask any questions you got and read a lot of the threads about extraction teks and on the wiki (but I suppose you've already done that if you have been around here for a week).

Anti DMT raids you say? Haven't heard about that- do you know which suppliers/materials are affected? Gonna be well annoyed if I've got this far then they get tough on it

It seems mimosa has come under closer scrutiny of the panopticon. There are ongoing lawsuits against vendors in the UK and the Netherlands deciding whether powdered mimosa can be considered illegal or not. If you get the chance to buy it, do it. It may not last long anymore.

that being said, welcome scotfreak. Nice intro. Would love to have a perfume bottle like the ones you described^^

if you can get the supplies, the extraction is pretty easy, but I would advise against using larger amounts than 100g in the beginning. As always Murphy's Law applies here, so be ready to have some fuckups, before you get the handling of all the different steps down. losing 100g is a lot easier than losing a pound, especially in times like these.

My order was from MH UK Ethnobotanicals. They have not been raided, but delayed. Got a mail from them yesterday telning me they've just got some of the mimosa in.

Eek!! Was gonna buy a kilo off eBay uk- think it might be the same retailer's eBay store.
And yeah, that was pretty much my plan- run through it dry (no mhrb) 1st to check techniques/suitability of glasswear etc (mainly wanna practice pouring off naptha) then again with 100g, then finally a couple of 200-400 g pulls.
In terms of buying- are they interested in the retailer mainly, or are we getting closer to 'give us your customer details so we can prosecute' territory?

I think at the moment the customers are safe, seen as there is no law against mimosa at the moment and it#s generally not sold for entheogenic purposes but for dye. The problem is that it contains dmt AND it's processed (powdered) so they might be getting closer to making it illegal. I personally don't doubt they will finally ban it, but anyone who's bought it before it became banned / illegal didn't do anything wrong, so should be safe. Just so long you don't do it AGAIN... that's why I'd buy it now while you still can and it's still legal. Sorry for spreading panic like this. it could all blow over, but we don't know if it will... so maybe better safe than sorry.
Also start checking what alternatives are available - acacia, anyone? why are there no resellers of good acacia bark?

actually that begs the question... Could extracted DMT be impregnated into clothing/fabrics etc for retrieval at a later date with naptha or something? (a little off topic, but it's an interesting thought...)
