Hey wonderful people!

I am working on two new changa blends, my idea is to create two mixes that represented the outer borders - one dark and one light. Each mix should combine several herbs that have a clear and prominent energy that can be caracterized as either dark or light.

One should drag you down to the underworld, one should enable you to travel high into the astral realms. Each should have same basis for healing, but in two different realities. Well, that's at least the idea. I know things aren't that black and white, but let's give it a try.

My initial thought were something like this:

## DARK

40% DMT
Caapi bark soaked in IPA (caapi - specially high doses - is to me a very earthy, forceful, and rather dark energy, but yet with a tremendous potential for healing)
Mandrake root soaked in IPA (a very cold and dark energy, at times malevolent, but should also enable the traveller to be more focused and accepting to scenes otherwise blocked by the mind)
Caapi leaves

## LIGHT

50% DMT
Mullein (soothes the lungs and may therefore increase pleasure)
Peppermint (adds a good minty taste to the smoke, a taste I can believe to be said is light)
Mugwort (seems to enable one to be more counscious and focused during dream states, as such the traveler should experience that he is more in control, and that with a light and clear energy)
Caapi leaves

I am considering using Calea and/or some lily/lotus in the light mix, but I have doubts as they to me are very electric. I am not quite sure if that will help towards the goal of a lightest blend possible. But then again LIGHTning can be said to be both electric and light... Thoughts?

I am also thinking about adding some Delosperma bosseranum, which contains mesembrine and similar alkaloids just as Kanna, to the light mix. High doses of this is actually hallucinogenic, just like Kanna, and provides an absolutely incredible euphoria resembling MDMA. It only lasts for a short time, may be just perfect to smoke with DMT. Have anyone tried changa with Kanna?

And what about the dark mix? I was thinking iboga, but it seems to have some impacting long-lasting effects at least in some individuals, which is something I want to avoid. I don't want any other source for tropane alkaloids than mandrake, as my experience is that this plants energy is far superior to the Datura's and Brugmansia's in terms of how dark, cold and strong it is.

Any thoughts? Suggestions to other herbs? Thanks for your time Smile

I think calea is a good addition to the light blend. It is more substantial in its influence than the other herbs IMO, so maybe used in moderation.
Taste may disqualify it though....not exactly light. Maybe lotus would be better.

Perhaps pau d'arco in the dark blend....I experience it as warm, but somewhat heavy.
A nice buddy to have along in the underworld, like a benevolent cave troll.
Passionflower may also be worth looking into.

Anyway, great idea! These blends seem very promising, I will most definitely be joining in.

SWIM has just started really working the pau d'arco blends and it feels extremely dark and earthy to her, though warm, as Eden suggests.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I am thinking about the possibility of adding a minuscule amount of 5-MeO-DMT to the dark mix, as it - at least to me - seems to have an incredible dark energy able to provoke fear as well as sickness. The dose should be too low to overpower the DMT though, a very small dose like 0.5 to 2 mg per hit should be enough. What's your thoughts about this?

Maybe some plain leaf salvia with the dark blend.
I will also suggest a third blend: Colour. Add some coleus, some Salvia, caapi of coarse, and maybe some mescaline. (Is it possible to create mescaline freebase?)

The 5-MeO idea sounds interesting and would definitely associate it more with the cthonic. The trick, it seems, would be balancing out the dosage.

Have you considered henbane? Of all of the tropanes, I have found henbane to be the most friendly to smoke.

What about your DMT source?
Huge differences in effect can be had by just varying the type of extraction and plant of origin.
One has found that a semi-rough extraction of chaliponga has a really nice euphoria that could help moderate either your dark or light blends.
