i agree with him if he's referring to "upper and downer" drugs as resulting in "dependent" relationship with the substance. but i disagree if he holds the same opinion about psychedelics (as long as a person doesn't become dependent on it), that they have no use, and dull the person.
I dont think he has ever done a psych, and personally, i just can't take anyone else's opinion seriously if they have never done a psych, simply because they have no experience of it. My own subjective experience says that they are necessary and are the only way left to awaken the asleep, and save this planet from dying...and so i continue to do it.
this is the Archaic Revival, and plants must be restored to their eminence, and so i think everyone with a healthy mind must do it. i just can't spend my life in one room, when i know that there are many other rooms to this mysterious mansion.
edit* ok, i hadn't watched the last 2 minutes, and i also agree with him that psychs can be beneficial if they are used to fix our problems, and to gain insight. I absolutely love the last line about tripping on sundaysLaughing Laughing

I agree that eventually drugs disturb your meditation rather than assist it

Edit:
I used to agree with this view, but now i think entheogens can compliment a true seekers path to awakening.
