So I'm preparing for my first journey with Aya, and I see that it is almost universally recommended to try some Caapi only brews first, before adding the light. So I've been trying to research what the effects of Caapi are like, but I'm not finding much on the topic. And I've only found a few experience reports regarding Caapi only. I know it's psychoactive in higher doses, but I'm wondering, is it 'psychedelic'?

The few reports I have found seem to describe it's effects as mildly sedating, and perhaps slightly inebriating. I'm hoping someone can help provide a slightly more succinct describe of Caapi's effects. What is the experience like? Is there a body load? Does it change your thinking in a way like most psychedelics? How is the nausea with a Caapi only brew? Is 50g a good starting point or would a lower dose be better for a first timer? Those are just a few of the questions that come to mind right now.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your experiences.

your right. when i was in your shoues a few weeks ago i found there arent very many good caapi only trip reports. most are from people not feeling much if anything at all.im just a few caapi only experinces ahead of you but ill tell you what i felt.

i didnt really get off until i drank 100g yellow caapi. at that dose i would say was definitely psychedelic. i was having visual's as well as feeling body load at a pretty high level. i was laying down trying to be a s still as possible but very comfortable in a way and blissful. not euphoric but blissful. if i moved just too much i puked.
the visuals were like nothing ive ever seen on any other psychedelic. read my trip report for more detail.

i wouldn't say i was tripping as my mind was incredibly clear. it was difficult moving and walking like getting to the bathroom but manageable if i could hold on to the wall a bit.

the purge was large aggressive and frequentLaughing !!!! but dont sweat it, it was not a bad experience. the nausea was so great that i could tell i did something wrong and i knew what that was. drinking all the sludge. although it definitely added to the powerful effects it was freaking debilitating for a good couple hours. i have since worked on decanting my brews and getting them very transparent. since then no nausea at all but also less of an effect. so i will be trying 125g this weekend.

good luck

SWIM will (probably soon) be doing a few caapi only experiences as a first introduction to the world of aya. I will try and make sure to get some reports up on the nexus.

please do. thats one topic that could use some good trip reports on the nexus. the more im on here the more i have stopped thinking about just my needs and quary's and more about building a solid and complete library of knowledge in a fieled so few enter. this place truly is powerful and important and ive never found another forum that caomes even close to its attitude, knowledge, and quailty of intelligent users.

since these substances can be tricky theres always many "i felt little to no effects" reports and very few accurate descriptions of solid caapi only experiences. so it would be great if we all kept adding and doing our part as a unit of the whole.

I took about 110g B. Caapi (Terence Mckenna's red vine) and I feelt almost nothing. Extremly little visuals, when I moved my hand infront of me it was like "slow motion", like several hands, very blury. I you guys get what I mean. And I felt a little "tiredness" but very clear in same way. I felt like sitting or laying down but very clear in the head, nothing more. That night I could not sleep at all.
its too dangerous to let anyone feel better, then everyone's going to want to feel better and society depends on suffering so that can't happen
