Hello, fellow travelers, seekers and free spirits.

After spending some time on the Nexus in the form of and invisible observer, after a summer full of light and after finally trying my hands at the alchemical process that is dmt extraction, I decided to take virutal form in this plane and become part of the Nexus.

First of all, let me tell you that the knowledge, creativity, respect and curiosity of your members is inspiring.

Curiosity is what first brought SWIM to the psychedelic world. About 4 years ago SWIM (who was then sixteen years old) took his first step into the Abyss and started experimenting with Salvia. SWIM wasn't very used to the altered states of mind then (probably smoked pot once or twice before smoking Salvia), and his first Salvia breaktrough morphed him into something that would start the evolution toward "someone who IS me".

The evolution hasn't ended (is there an end?), but I can safely say that I am more me than I ever was before in this life. Wandering, wondering, seeking, creating, being. This is what I do and what I want to do.

I first tried DMT a while ago. Probably too soon. An unstable teenager should probably keep away from breaking through too many times in the same week (should probably simpy keep away from breaking through). But it is how it happened, how it made me a bit of an outcast for a while, how I came back to social close-to-normal activity, how I am now seeking for balance and experience.

I also had lots of experiences with many other psychoactive (too many, with some substances I try now to keep away from me). Entheogens are obviously my favorites. I've had some very deep experiences with LSD (touching the Void for a moment/eternity) and very interesting experiences with Psilo and DMT. What I'm trying to figure right now is how to make it all fit together. What part of the process is the Silence, God, Creation and in what way the faëries (and all their multi-morphic friends) are related to those 3.

I know these are all questions probably best unnanswered (is there an answer? can it be put into words?).

Maybe the Mystery is absolute, and should be. Still, studying the Mystery is a very enjoyable activity.

This life being an amazing time for creativity, I also like to explore human creations (music, visual arts, literature, cinema) and enjoy creating (liquid dancing, playing didgeridoo, drawing, painting).

I'll leave you (for now) with a piece of mind/mine/me.

Love you all.
May the Universe enjoy itself.

I guess any artwork from any artist could be considered a self-portrait... Not in the conservative way of course.

I prefer the term eccentric.

But yeah, I guess "freak" wouldn't be too far from the truth either. Laughing

I like Egon Schiele too. His paintings showed me how to teach myself to draw hands.

I come from a similar background. I was introduced to saliva at the age of about 16 as well. I also come from a rather religious family but had little faith in traditional belief systems. They make a lot more sense in a psychedelic context...

I think you'll find you are a lot less of a freak than most people you'll encounter. Very happy

Same. I always had some difficulty with hands until I studied his paintings. Love his work and find his life very interesting.

I think you're the first to see the reference to Schiele.

He breaks it down into an easy group of outlines eliminating complex angles on the fingers in many cases. Often very rigid. I love the quasierotic, impoverished/sickly aesthetic...
