i will be preparing the sacred caapi vine for making tea. i have whole vine so all i really needed to know was what is the end form preferred for home brewing? chips, shredded, powder,? the tek here doesnt seem specify. just want to make sure. i was planning on spending some time with the vine and a pocket knife and make chip like shreds. is that good or should i then grind the strips into powder? olympus mon attached the following image(s):  .jpg (1,062kb) downloaded 84 time(s).I am not gonna lie, shits gonna get weird!Troubles Breaking Through? Wrap it up in some sort of cloth/towel and then give it a bashing with a hammer  You want it too be like shredded like. Id imagine getting it to a powder would be a pain in the ass and would make filtering even a bigger pain.

Chipped FOREVER with a tiny knife at the beginning. Pieces of vine hammered on the stump of a tree works very well.  But hammers for sure... Some things will come easy, some will be a test

Agreed the hammer is really the only way to break up the hard vine. The Spice extends life
