I'm a little confused by this, hopefully you can clarify this for me: say I make a simple extract by dissolving a nondescript herb in acidified water. If I evaporate that water, dissovle the resin in acetone and evaporate the acetone in half of the original herb, does this make the extract x2? or is it more? how does this times X system work exactly?

ok lets say you have 10 grams of a plant material and it contains 0.1 gram of a special substance. if you extract with whatever volume of solvent or water and evaporate it and are left with 1 gram a mixture of your 0.1 gram of substance and 0.9 gram other plant material you have concentrated it 10x. does that help?
