I don’t think the problem was with the accuracy or predictive value of his model. I think the problem was a mathematical error.

Something like saying that x*x = x^3 (of course, a much more complicated error, but you get the idea).

Ahh okay, I got it. Intersting that the theory's accuracy as well as its predictive value apparently holds up, but the math is off....hmmm. Seems like a contradiction, or perhaps a paradox?

Conceptually it makes sense to me. I've long had an affinity for an Octave of dimensions, which corrlates with music and the vibratory nature of the universe.

I can’t comment on the accuracy or predictive value of the theory. (Did I? Maybe I did. Embarrased ) I was just saying that the math is in error. I would assume that if the math isn’t right, then the physics isn’t right either.

Not nessecarily.
Quantum loop gravity predicts that over large distances, high energy radiation will be slightly delayed because it will travel at a slower speed. This proved to be correct. But the time lap predicted between low energy and high energy radiation didn't fit.

Some say that this proves that QLG is incorrect, but the same lee smolin mentioned in the opening post says it only proves that the exact mathematical models are incorrect while the whole idea behind LQG is still viable.

Well, the model does project the existence \ discovery of 21 or so new particles, so with CERN and the Large Hadron ramping up the TeVs, if they are there, we should find them.
