Well, there's different opinions about that. Some people report no change, some report a weaker effect. Over time, SSRIs may destroy some serotonin binding sites in you, which definitely will weaken any entheogenic experience with entheogens acting at the serotonin systems. This should return to normal after some time.

Entheogenic cacti contains a MAOI, so that should never be combined with a SSRI. Pure mescaline will be okay, but not a full-alkaloid extract. With MDMA, you are likely to get next to no effects, as SSRIs have a higher affinity for serotonin receptors than MDMA does.

As stated, that is disputed. Some do get all the effects as they would without SSRIs, some do not. You have to try to find out. I do, however, want you to consider why you want to smoke DMT, and if it really is a smart thing to do with your mental condition. I do not know anything about why you are taking SSRIs, but some people with certain serious mental illnesses should seriously consider not taking any kind of drugs.

Oh, I see! Having in mind that I am not a doctor and that I don't really know anything about you, I would assume no problems with smoking the spice. Remember that combining lexapro with a MAOI is still potentially lethal, so don't smoke changa, only pure DMT. I wish you all the best, I hope you will have wonderful journeys and that you will be able to beat the OCD! Smile

I took lexapro for a while and had a hard time getting off of it. Only after a vitamin D deficiency was discovered and began to take it was I finally able to stop Lexapro.

When the time comes to stop taking it ween off of it very slowly as in over a course of months. I've replaced lexapro with regular spice jpurneying and its been working for my depression even though that sound nuts I've been off lexapro for a few years now. I think there might be better drugs for OCD than lexapro. I tried spice a few times while on it and it felt like it held the effects back. Check into Vitamin D 3 its a big one that no one talks about.

Do make sure and have a tripsitter who can help with spice journeys. Choose someone who can be calm, and who can help calm you as well. This helps people with tendencies toward anxiety enjoy and benefit from spice much more.

horrible stuff....
if you dont need it dont take it.

These drugs are for making slaves out of people, don't let the pill man push them as medicine to you.

its made to sap the light out of you

the spice stripped spaghettiman of his paranoia, his anxiety and depression. spaghettiman has quickly been able to quit smoking with ease, and his communication is worlds better than it ever has been. I can barely look at unhealthy food anymore.

All of my normal ills, they're still here, but they are so so so far away. the bad spirits speak to me but it is nothing but a whisper, i can barely make it out. they used to control me most of the time.

spice, especially changa. Its real medicine. How can anything else pass off as medicine for these ills when we have spice? SSRIs are like carcinogenic ginger beer, a pill exclusively composed of side effects. I hate to tell anyone to do anything but steer clear of these drugs, they were developed for mind control, to kill your spirit.

For me, the perspective spice gives was almost enough to make all of my problems go out the window.

After having the standard spice blast, i just couldn't place importance on a lot of the stupid things that were getting me down and stressing me out.

Spice has also filled me with power to fight these demons.

I never ask spice for help with worldly problems, it seems to naturally help for me. When you ask them questions about life they're often insulted by the minutiae "why would you ask me something silly like that? what do you think this is?". Just open your heart and blast off, start with that and move from there. put yourself at it's mercy

I have had many healing experiences with changa, not all MAOI infused either. My elders came to me the other day on some mullein + pau d'arco tincture + spice. They opened up my skull and did some maintenance, added some upgrade. Ive been on cloud 9 since.

But at the very least the spice makes earthly problems seem insignificant, just by sheer power.

If lexapro hasn't made much difference for you, don't damage your body and mind with it. It's not worth taking crap like that unless its literally the only thing keeping you from being really dangerous, this doesn't seem to be the case. I don't like to give out advice on this because i don't know you. But I don't see SSRIs as medicines...

the best of luck to you, i know you can overcome your demons

I would consult your doctor before changing or stopping your medication. Also, many doctors proscribe all kinds of drugs while it may be better to see a specialist for your specific problems instead of just a doctor with general medical knowledge who might not know that much about your specific condition.

Lexapro isn't poison. Some people react very badly on SSRI's, almost like some sort of allergy, and they have to be hospitalised, but that's not the case for everybody.

Speaking to the Doctor would be the first point of call. I don't know of any trained doctors on Nexus and giving out medical advice is not done here.

What is encouraged tho is the sharing of experiences. If it worked for you, then share it. If it didn't... share that too.
But please don't encourage people to completely ignore modern medicine.

Regardless of how bulky and problematic some modern medicines are, if the doctors got you on something there's gonna be a reason for it.

The big thing i would really mention here is how much the 'lifestyle' of an entheogen user can help many people. Forget about medicine's or entheogens for a minute. Im talking about self realization. Im talking about health and fitness in everyday life. Good clean dietary conditions, exercise, sleep, relationships.

And importantly, the mental effort exerted in taking control of ones perspective. By taking a moment to look at ones life, a person can become aware and make changes to a number of unsatisfactory conditions. This will go a LONG way in creating a degree of stability in ones life. It will allow the mind and body to function as best as it possibly can. That is what i call taking control. This style of 'entheogenic lifestyle' has worked extremely well in helping me get over many many issues i was having.

I would never consider taking something as wildly intense and mind manifesting as DMT with any serious psychological issues present. But after having done the above... things could well become very peachy, setting the right conditions for a healing entheogenic experience with the best possible foundation.

My 2 cents.

Take care.

I used to be anorexic, which is a manifestation of OCD. Taking mushrooms occasionally was helpful, but daily meditation (20-40min) was really what helped me beat it. Additionally, just taking care of oneself as much as possible (regular sleeping hours, good diet, hanging out around positive people, exercise, time with nature, developing healthy interests, etc.)

Gir is OCD, has manymanymanymany anxiety disorders, and is in an introvert state pretty much 100% of his life.

_!+Gir smokes spice.+!_

Gir doesnt have any of the above symptoms. Gir does yoga, then meditates for a session (normally 10-15 minutes), and then thats it. Gir has control over his OCD, anxiety disorders, stress, and introvertial aspects of himself.

healing thing this spice is.
Lets go extract something together Smile
