What if someone ingested DMT, had their heart stop beating and then was revived shortly before brain death occurred. What do you think they would be experiencing? Do you think that as soon as the heart stops they would lose any sort of consciousness, or would they stay in the DMT world?

You're asking a speculative question about a hypothetical medical experiment - and one for which it would be hard to obtain ethical approval, at that. Rather than messing with heart function, wouldn't it be simpler to use anoxia/asphyxiation instead, since that's the major physiological correlate resulting from cessation of heartbeat?

People do not (edit: not necessarily, at least) lose consciousness immediately during a heart attack. On the other hand, I have fallen asleep straight after smoking some DMT...

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

People can lose consciousness about 6 seconds after a truly massive heart attack. That's the time it takes for the blood supply to drop out of the brain due to gravity's effect.

If you witness is happening the person may or may not act like they are in pain but they will literally just suddenly fall to the ground and be unrevivable.

"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

May i ask what added value you would expect DMT to provide to a near death experience?
