I observed something interesting today after filtering a mimosa solution. Once in the kitchen and then in the bathroom I saw a spider close to where a little of the solution spilt. she was struggling to crawl away much like if they had just been sprayed with raid. Maybe this was a coicidence or the fact that the solution is so astringent but I was wondering if there was something in mimosa or possibly dmt that acts as a pesticide? I know for instance mescaline is a insect repellant for cacti.

i would not be surprised if DMT does something to certain insect brains, since it is very widespread in nature. however also consider that if you had a low or high pH solution this alone could have scared the spider.
