Hello beautiful community, new member here.
Before creating this topic I tried to do a research but I didn’t specifically find an answer.. and English is not my first language so sorry in advance for any eventual repetitions and grammatical errors, lol.
SWIM has very recently got into DMT extraction and usage, he has only done 2 extractions so far and he opted for evaping the solvent for his first times because it was more convenient for him.
At least for now he’s not particularly concerned about the purity of the spice, since he heard that it’s really not a big deal in terms of effects.
What he is concerned about tho is the fact that he thinks that what he has may actually be DMT N Oxide instead of regular spice.
The spice is light orange/dark yellow colored and it really looks like some kind cannabis wax, especially the consistence of it, he tried to put a tiny tiny piece on his finger and gently move it around, it was soft like butter and almost instantly melted.
Here is a pic of the spice, you can see on the side of the dish even some which hasn’t fully dried yet.
https://imgur.com/a/mRFSxfPI can’t smell the solvent in it, and it smells something like some kind of industrial shoe glue/new shoes.
So basically SWIM poured 100g of MHRB into a 1L volume glass bottle, he then poured in about 500ml of tap water.
Then in a separate flask he slowly poured 100g of sodium hydroxide in about 200ml of water and dissolved it until clear, he added the basic solution into the DMT soup. Now the bottle was really hot to the touch due to the reaction, so he decided not to apply any external heat so he let it sit for a good 3/4 hours frequently shaking it.
At this point SWIM poured in about 50ml of zippo lighter fluid which was sitting in a hot bath and was fairly hot (he used this particular solvent because it was readily available and he read that it would work and leave minimal residue upon evaporation, but he is definitely down to switch for the next extractions).
He rolled the bottle around, while gently shaking it for a good minute, and then he set it in a pot and poured boiling water from a kettle in it since he didn’t have access to any electric or induction stove.
When the solvent separated he repeated the process of rolling and shaking it 4 times, then proceeded to pull out the solvent, wash it in a separate flask with some water and finally into the dish for evaping.
He left it to evap practically all day with a fan, as it was reducing it started to turn a little bit milky, and he could even see a few really tiny white particles floating in the solvent.
But of course once all the solvent evaped, surprise.. the infamous yellow goo, and as he was scraping it and pulling it together it was practically liquid, it legit looked like he was scraping very liquid honey so he left it to dry some more leading to what he has in the picture posted above.
Now SWIM’s question is: is it possible that perhaps having left the window open with no curtains, as the sunlight was rotating it may have got to a point of direct contact with the spice in the dish, and maybe melted it creating DMT N Oxide as the fan was blowing on it?
I know this may be a very stupid question, but SWIM would want a way, if possible to confirm what he has is the real deal.
Has anyone had similar experiences? I would really appreciate, thanks to everyone who took time to read, and obviously to whoever will reply
