This will be my first post in this forum. I do not have much experience so far with DMT. The highest dose I ever took was 80 mg of changa (1:1 dmt to harmalas). The experience was strong enough to have me curious about a breakthrough dose.

About two years ago, I had a tough experience with 3.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Since then, I have a hard time dealing with the anxiety that comes with smoking DMT. Therefore I am very curious about different techniques that can be used in the minutes prior to "liftoff". I am not talking about set and setting here.

There is a breathing technique called "Wim Hof breahing" which lowers blood-CO2 and also "resets" the central nervous system. I have practiced it many times and it really does calm both body and mind. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this breathing technique in combination with DMT?

What other strategies do you guys and girls use in the minutes before smoking DMT?

This has a plethora of tips

I'm at work so have to be quick, but for me, breathing techniques, preparingto do the work, meditation, and setting intention help me with trepidation.

What if the "truth" is: the "truth" is indescernible/unknowable/nonexistent? Then the closest we get is through being true to and with ourselves.

For me doing either "traditional" meditation (silencing your mind) or "magical" meditation (becoming one with everything around you) until I feel content with existing really helps. Normally this in combination with calm, soothing music helps me feel like everything will be alright.
