Greetings Friends,

After perusing the Nexus, noticing some individuals use harmalas as a supplement, have decided to try the same and see what it does for me.

Rue:
Planning on making rue tea. My questions are how much to dose and how do I prepare it?

Harmala extract:
I have harmala extracted from yellow caapi. How much freebase harmala do you think is advisable to begin with for oral and vaporized administration.

Apologies if this is somewhere out on the Nexus already. Feel free to shoot me some links.

One love

My favorite way to take rue is to roast the seeds so that they pop, grind, and put through espresso machine. Very quick and the taste is tolerable. Add some honey and whatever you find to cover the taste 😀

I use lemon essential oil drops to combat the nausea, but it's not usually a problem when taking harmalas alone.

Somewhere between 3 and 5 grams is okay. More is not worth the nausea.

Haven't been using harmala alone that much though.

Thank you friend😁!

When you say pop, is that something I can visually observe or do I need to listen? I also don't have an espresso machine. Would boiling and straining work? If so how long do you think I should boil it for?

I was thinking about adding some tea of various kinds to my seeds since I'm a tea fiend lol.

Glad to hear another individual's positive experience mitigating nausea with lemon essential oils. I recently procured some for when I take mushrooms and will probably use it for harmala as well.

As always, thank you for sharing your insight with meLove

Thank you ☺️

They make a very noticeable sound as they pop and you see them open up and jump on the pan. I use just a regular cast iron pan for frying. Heat it hot, add the seeds and shake the pan a couple of pan so that the seeds won't burn. It takes one minute at max for most of the seeds to have popped.

I believe boiling and straining works just fine. I think it's unnecessary to do several boils or use lots of water and then reduce it. If you seem to get a solution that is not strong enough, then just use more seeds. They're inexpensive.

If you come up with a nice recipe for making the brew taste better, please tell!

Sounds easy peasy lemon squeezy lol. Thank you again!

And I'll be sure to share any tasty tea combinations I come across.

Think I may try this this weekend.

Indeed it is - and as another tip IMO adding any kind of acid/vinegar/lemon juice to the rue brew just makes it taste infinitely worse so don't bother. If your tap water is ridiculously alkaline it still only takes a drop or two of something acidic to sort that out.

I've not found any tea combination that seems particularly worthwhile as a flavour experience. The toasted seeds are what they are and can be 'enjoyed' as such - although a few drops of sweet, jasmine-scented mimosa alkaloid tincture don't go amiss from time to time, both from the point of view of aroma and from that of effects Twisted Evil .

Good lookin out friendSmile

What tea combinations have you tried?

And what are your thoughts on oral harmala extract dosage? I'd like to try the sublingual route, but find a range of dosages (most often with the intent of blasting off after oral harmalas. I would like to do it by itself), so am not sure where to begin. As of now I'm leaning towards starting with 25mg.

Planning on making my first rue tea this Sunday, as it should be a relatively relaxed day.

How did you make your mimosa tincture (feel free to shoot me a link lmao)?
Thank you
