https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2801-zSuperconductivity was achieved in a C-H-S system at around 15°C, albeit a pressure in the region of 270GPa, in a tiny sample between two diamond anvils. Sulfur forms a 'superhydride' in this pressure range and apparently, when doped with methane, this approximates some of the properties that might be displayed by metallic hydrogen.
