An interesting article reporting anecdotal cases of people taking orders of magnitude 'too much' and coming out of it fine and even with improved health.

I read this earlier today!
It certainly does seem really interesting..
It's stuff like these experiences that have really drawn me in - The possibility of treatment for conditions that don't typically respond so well to conventional treatments.

Just gotta hope Australia is paying close attention to these studies so perhaps these things are accessible one day without so much risk involved Very happy

Interesting article. How believable it is remains debatable, but the girl that cured her bipolar is very peculiar. If it can really cure this disease there's hope for many people around the world.

Also, I don't really agree with those scientists' "lethal dose" estimate. Many people have taken more than 17k mcg in recorded history and have turned out fine. Robert Hunter talks about his accidental 250,000mcg trip on a ball in his correspondence with Terence McKenna. Many people have spoken about the effects of taking a thumbprint, which is FAR more than 250mg. It's just not a believable estimate, not with the subjects being in perfect health and mental condition. There might be many other factors that could make a dose like that lethal for someone, but in an all things equal scenario, I doubt it can kill a healthy individual.

Knowing what more than 1200mcg feels like, I wonder what it is to take a dose so many orders of magnitude greater. Is there an effective threshold, past which it becomes pointless to take more? Or does the journey get crazier with the dose, with no cap at all?

So many questions, not enough brave people to seek the answers. Big grin

Very interesting read. In William Leonard Pickard’s book The Rose of Paracelsus, there is talk of a chemist accidentally exposing himself to a million hits and ending up fine. However, the book is written as a mix of fiction and nonfiction.

Lazy sods.

The bit about snorting 55mg of powder seems rather far-fetched, thinking about it.

Friend has a 500ug bottle... gone completely black from oxidation from so much xtal in the bottle.. at the burn we like to take around 3 to 4 hits at a time... but only for the burn.. Theres a report from MK ULTRA about the CIA dosing an elephant with 300 000ug and it rolled over and died... Mega doses of LSD are very interesting Razz

AFAIK, that elephant freaked out and they had to shoot it with a sedative dart containing the ultra high potency opioid etorphine. The etorphine (in overdose) is what finished the poor creature off. Remember, elephants are big and 300 000 μg of LSD, while still a pretty stiff dose for an animal of that size, is still physically tolerable even if it makes the creature considerably more dangerous for its keepers.
