To follow up from the previous post, here is an incomplete version of my 2nd paper. It's rather exhausting writing it all because there's just so much out there to learn, but I'm satisfied enough with what's there that I'd like to put this out for everyone to learn too. I haven't gotten to explaining the polymorphic system fully yet, but I have a start.

The topics are:
X. Evaporation vs. Cooling
XI. Natural vs. Controlled Cooling
XII. Evaporation Rates and Concentration Changes
XIII. Final Results for Solubility of DMT in Heptane

-- Unfinished --
Polymorphs: The trimorphic System of DMT
Melting Points of polymorphs: literature and experimental values
Solvent-Mediated Phase Transitions
(Just the beginnings so far): Precipitation diagram for polymorphic systems

I'm also including an Excel cheat sheet that I think might come in handy down the road for anyone who delves into this kind of thing. I've included topics such as:
Calculation of seed mass from seed size
Calculating temperature and volume of solvent for a given supersaturation ratio
Calculating the amount of crystals deposited when temperature changes occur
Calculations for temperature control during crystallization processes, seeded & unseeded
Calculating evaporation rates as function of hot plate temperature setting
Calculating the actual solution temperature from hot plate temperature setting
Calculating maximum allowable undercooling, for seeded and unseeded solutions

I hope this proves most useful for everyone.
Cheers
