Recently I have been reading up on the internet about the effect of taking an MAO inhibitor such as Rue before smoking a dose of DMT. I have read many different accounts of the effect of this combination. Some say it is to much to handle or that it is to scary. On he other hand, my people have claimed the combination to work really well. I understand how with Pharmahuasca the MAOI stops the DMT from being broken down so that the DMT has a chance to reach the brain. Also that when the DMT reaches the brain, the trip lasts longer than normal smoked DMT because the MAOI slows down the metabolism of the DMT down. (corrections on any glitches in my science greatly appreciated) I would just like to hear peoples accounts of this combination and if they think it works or not. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place or if I am being stupid. I am a bit new to the Ideas of MAOI's and could not find a proper answer on the net. People spend their lives searching for perfect moments and fail to see, that there are many unappreciated perfect moments everyday that are overlooked.

Harmalas are essential ...
You'll see.
I do not reccommend Rue, because I think he's a little sassy and harsh compared to my beloved caapi...but you'll find what works for you :]
Make changa with caapi leaf and mullein and smoke that after drinking a cup of unreduced caapi like 5-10 grams.
Come back here ecstatic

My most profound journeys have been ones with a rue tea choked down before hand. Will try caapi soon, but I highly recommend with a harmala of some sort at least once. My very first encounter was with this method, and my most powerful to date, complete immersion in an alien factory/laboratory with many beings around. Very cool! Absolutely highly recommended. Just last night I took Caapi Copy (a blend of the three harmala alks, in a similar ratio as found in the vine), and then added some additional THH to that, waited about 40 mins until the harmalas kicked in nicely, and then smoked DMT. My experience was incredibly intense and profound. I had a combination of both visuals AND visions, and the experience lasted a good 15 to 20 minutes longer. It was so powerful that I actually don't remember the majority of it in any kind of explainable detail, but I remember entities opening up the back of my head and stuffing information into my subconscious. It was a truly beautiful experience. Not only was this an extended and intensely powerful experience, but it was incredibly peaceful as well. The harmalas add such a warmth and love to the experience. I have found a new magic combination for myself! I have never tried Rue, but from what I read I would stay with Caapi. EDIT: Be sure you understand the dangers of taking RIMAs (Reversible MAOI's) with certain other drugs and foods. The Ayahuasca Forum offers some valuable resources. ONE WORD FOR YOU: VAPOHUASCA!!! ...it has become my absolute ideal for communion. i love ayahuasca....but i have the deepest ability to surrender when i have no time to "think"....the immediacy of the vaporized DMT is second to none for this reason.... now take the soul and depth that the vine of the dead brings...along with it's MAO inhibiting ability and you've got the best of all worlds....it is so special....at least for me... i can see how some might get spooked by going so far with no end in sight....but to those i would simply suggest that they stop "looking" for an end.... I wholly recommend a microdose of Caapi before smoking! One time I was outside smoking changa, and I was instructed to drink Caapi, as the Caapi had the power to "hold back the veil." Some things will come easy, some will be a test

All I can say is it works, it really works!! a cup of caapi tea before vapeing does the trick. If you haven't tried it go easy at first work your way up to it. this combination is where the real magic happens but its INTENSE!! bump... How long, generally, would an experience last if one drank 5-10grams caapi tea, followed by vaped spice say 20 minutes later? Thanks! Salvia quid enthusiast

I've found the peak to remain about the same, perhaps a bit longer but the afterglow can last up to an hour depending...much better retention of the experience as well. What, you ask, was the beginning of it all? And it is this...

100g's white caapi down the hatch followed by 20mg's vaped freebase is a euphoria quite like no other. I don't often use DMT orally that often as this has become my preferred method.

Would 28g of powdered caapi vine be sufficient for mao inhibition? I kinda figured that was a lot, but seeing soulfood's 100g statement makes me question the quantity I ordered. I'm recieving an ounce in the mail, and was wondering how much one would need for a good experience, when one is used to 3-4g of rue?
