I ride atleast 5 to 10 miles a day on mountain bike and watch my weight.. this keeps my weight down and has a good mental effect when tripping..

Have you tried skateboarding? For a long time it was the main way i traveled. It takes some conditioning but it does a good job at keeping your core and lower body in shape. It can be pretty fun too. I did not realize how much it was doing for me until i started working and driving everywhere.

I developed a little bit of a gut and started looking into workouts to strengthen my core again and start burning some fat. Oddly enough seeing the workouts they were doing in some of these videos simulated pushing a skateboard, riding a halfpipe, and Ollieing over various obstacles.

I will hop on the bike at the gym after my weightlifting is completed. A great form of cardio that's easy on the joints. Swimming is too.

Used to skate everywhere also back in the day and can also vouch for the functional, endurance, stamina, and strength benefits.

Glad you found something that you enjoy to keep your body physically engaged. The body is meant to move being the vehicle that transports us through the world.

One love
What if the "truth" is: the "truth" is indescernible/unknowable/nonexistent? Then the closest we get is through being true to and with ourselves.
