I would like to write about the way that I dream because I'm yet to find anybody else who has dreams in the way I do. The best way to describe it is that my mind has been creating its own expansive dreamscape since I was a child. And I mean a single, recurrent dreamscape that gets bigger as I have more dreams. How this happens is usually I'll have a dream version of a place I've been. In the dream I'm typically traveling or walking around this space. While obviously to me it's somewhere I've been, it's typical different; dreamy if you will. A straight city block becomes wavy and extruded, stretched into a very expanse. More vertical space is added, and everything becomes very higher both in architecture and in geography. But, that's just a dream of one place, so here's where it gets weird-
Next I'll have a dream of another place I've been, and again, it's a Dreamland version of it. Also not independently that special. But then, I'll have a dream where I start out in place A that I've dreamed before and it looks the same as the last time I dreamed it, and traverse through some kind of pathway to another dreamscape I've been to, place B. And again, it'll look the same. The pathways themselves often have their own character. I've noticed they often have a narrow path like a bike path, or they are by a river. Or it's just vast urban expanse. The pathways too are recurrent and I can dream of them again. Over time the pathway from A to B would have a branch off and I'd end up in place C which again, I had already dreamed of again and it looks the same.
It seems as if my mind is creating its own replica of my real world in my dreams. It's so interesting the sense of deja Vu from it, like I'm not even sure if it's fake. Maybe my soul is living its own life in there while I'm sleeping. Not sure, but I'm interested to see if anybody else gets this. The DMT use definitely amplified this phenomena and made the dreams all the more vivid, I'll add.
