Help me help you and new people to find this easy to read cut to the chase chart. With everyones help this can be the go to post regarding solvents and other related things.
Hey guys, this is SWIM's WIP cheat sheet that SWIM decided to write up to condense hours of reading different posts and opinions into one place.
This guide was made mostly for acacia acuminata extraction research. But could be applied to other plants
This covers main solvents that i commonly see used SWIM probably missed a few. Help SWIM update this chart and correct mistakes in the replies. Thanks
Solvents
FULL SPECTRUM
Xylene: Full spectrum alkaloids
(can't freeze percipitate, evaporation only)
Toulene: Full spectrum alkaloids
(can't freeze percipitate, evaporation only)
d-limonene: Full spectrum alkaloids
(can't freeze percipitate, evaporation only)
- Creates DMT acetate
- Needs to be converted to freebase
- Sticky/gooey orange
SELECTIVE
Hexane: Selective extration
Can freeze percipitate or evaporate
Heptane: Selective extration
Can freeze percipitate or evaporate
Naptha aka (shellite): Selective extration
Can freeze percipitate or evaporate
DCM aka (Dichloromethane): Selective extration
(can't freeze percipitate, evaporation only)
RECRYSTALIZATION:
Best re-x aka (recrystalization)
Naptha
Heptane
Hexane
ACIDS:
Best acids to use for acid/base extraction
Phosphoric acid (best apparently)
Hydrochloric acid
Sulphuric acid
Acetic acid (aka vinegar) shouldn't be used. Due to mixed results. probably due to it being a weak acid and not binding to the dmt properly.
