Hi everyone,

I would like to bring up something that I observed and I wonder if this observation is something others made too.

First of all I am not sure whether "fluttering eyelids" makes actually sense as English isn't my fist language. What I mean is the rapid opening and closing of ones eyelids.

I enjoy my changa sessions outside in a place surrounded by plants during the twilight evening hours, when the sun has just disappeared behind the horizon. This results in some light shining through my eyelids while the are closed, displaying an orange color under normal circumstances and my visions are dominated by a color spectrum from blue to red hues, while the molecule does what it does.
On New years eve I wanted to try something different and put on one of these blindfolds that one usually gets handed during a long haul flight. I wanted to see if the total darkness behind my eyelids will influence the color spectrum I see. To my surprise the blindfold seemed to have suppressed most of the experience. The feeling of having something over my eyes distracted me greatly from the whole experience.

One day later, yesterday, I tried to travel again to make up for my unsuccessful journey from new years eve. This time I did not use the blindfold.
It was a beautiful experience, just as I am used to from previous times.

However, there's something that happens each time I smoke changa/freebase DMT. Once I lean back, close my eyes and the visions start to emerge out of nowhere, my eyelids start to flutter unintentionally/uncontrollably. The majority of the time they are closed, but they open for milliseconds from time to time, which seems to have an enhancing effect on what I see during my sessions. It's a bit as if the brief moment of open eyes allows me to take an object from this world into hyperspace, where it changes to something else entirely.

I thought about that last night after my experience. I remembered a passage of the book "doors of perceptions" by Aldous Huxley, where he describes various ways to reach a visionary state of mind. One of the ways to reach this visionary state is sitting in a dark room with eyes closed, while facing a strobe light. Now I came up with the idea that my fluttering eyelids are basically replacing the strobe light and therefore enhances the visual aspect of my experience. Is anyone else experiencing this?
