Hello!
I chose the name Vala from Völuspá, a poem in the Norse Edda which means "prophecy of the seeress". Vala is the title of a woman who travels with a staff and is the connection between our world and the world beyond the veil. She puts herself in trance and is able to see the strings of fate, she understand causality through cause and effect. I think Vala is a beautiful word
I started with psychedelics and other drugs at 17. I was very naive at that time. I also felt like shit and had no love for myself. Lot's of negative thought patterns. Almost died (and not the fun kind
). At 20 I had a big awakening on LSD where I realized that I had to take responsibility for my own being and learn to let go. It was painful. It is also the psychedelic experience that I think of most fondly.
Since then I've had some intense and heavy experiences. Heavy, for it has been difficult to find the language to describe them and share what I've been through. Heavy, for it has felt like I've seen things that have been so big that I haven't known how to integrate them into my everyday life. I believe integration to be very important when it comes to big experiences, no matter if they are drug-induced or not. I am gaining deeper understanding now for what I experienced a couple of years ago, and I contribute this to exploring writings on non-duality, reading what other people write on forums and just growing older and living life. Aaand having the best partner in the world, who is really grounded and understanding.
I don't really take mind altering substances the way I did before. I smoke weed very occasionally, but only with a clear intention. I've sent out the message that I am open to smoke DMT again and go for a breakthrough, but only if the opportunity presents itself to me. I will not chase it. I will be content no matter what, if it happens or not. There is an immense beauty in encountering the wisdoms of everyday life.
I practice throat singing, just a beginner but even so I feel the power in singing like this. No emotions, no thoughts, just powerful vibrations.
