Hello everyone. I'll keep this introduction short,

I am from New Zealand. I love the outdoors, I am often out exploring nature. I also like learning about plants and fungi.

I am here to share my journey with psychedelics and mental health. I am fairly inexperienced with only a few low to medium dose LSD trips and a few low dose Psilocybin mushroom trips, I would like to work my way up to DMT but have a lot to learning and conscious training to do before then. I hope to learn and share what works for me Very happy

Cheers!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Welcome! It sounds counterintuitive, but I think DMT is excellent for someone new to psychedelics. Start with a small dose and work your way up as you feel comfortable. I imagine the experience from each source species might be slightly different. What kind of active plants are available in your area?

Welcome Friend

What were your lower dose experiences like? What was different about them relative to the different molecules?

I agree with this. However, it's important you do what you feel is best.

See you around the forumsSmile

Thank you Rido and Voidmatrix for the warm welcome

There are a variety of Acacia and a few species of Phalaris grasses growing here.

I have been struggling to take even a small dose of mushrooms or LSD now after watching someone go through a bad experience, I always fear having a trip which in turn makes the trip uncomfortable and challenging. I have had a years break and have recently been learning how to clear my mind and to let go of thoughts. What are your thoughts on small DMT doses helping to break the fear as they are a lot shorter than other psychedelics?

My first low dose experiences were very gentle, I tripped a few times with a close friend in nature and the trips mainly consisted of us doing a day walk up a hill with a lot of laughter at our own general dumbness of our sober daily lives. It is hard to give a fair comparison between the two molecules as I was surviving through the mushroom trip and have never had a great time on them however the main things that I noticed was that LSD had a lot more colour flow and hills in the distance would roll similar to waves, on mushrooms I noticed more shrinking and expanding of objects and colours pulsing and changing into other colours.

The short duration of DMT makes it very convenient for getting your psychedelic feet wet. This is even more convenient if you're using a vape cartridge, but is still very achievable with other methods.

The great news is that DMT isn't going anywhere. There's no benefit to rushing into it before you're ready. Take your time and enjoy the journey.

Yeah.... that's what I love about mushrooms Big grin

What was hard about them for you? The stomach upset? The roiling emotionality? I definitely understand though. Happens for me from time to time, but I find them very very valuable.

Thank you for the insight voidmatrix.

For me the struggle with the trip is the fear of losing my mind, I never had this problem before watching a friend go through an extremely bad trip.

I have found that when I surrender to my thoughts and let them run their course they quickly pass on, perhaps that is the lesson the mushrooms are trying to teach me

Something tells me you should run with thatBig grin

In my experience, it becomes an exercise in manipulating your own thinking while also stepping back from it so as to be removed to just observe. Everyone has their own framework though.
