Hello everyone SWIM has been away for quite some time and is now back!

SWIM was been interested in Junglespice for quite some time, SWIM made an extraction and just wanted to double check that it was safe.

SWIM did a number of naphtha pulls on some MHRB and had stored the remaining liquid (mhrb juice) in containers so that SWIM can extract jungle spice from it. SWIM decided to use Xylene from the brand Klean Strip. SWIM put a few drops on a evap plate and didnt see much remaining residue (in SWIMs opinion there wasnt any at all, but SWIM is questioning himself now)

So SWIM did a Xylene pull and let it evap in a food dehydrator for a day and a half. This is what remained on the plate. SWIM has read that there needs to be red crystals, but there is nothing of the sort. All that is left is a oily sticky substance that is not evaporating/drying. It smells right to me however.

SWIM would appreciate some feedback, this is a picture of what SWIM ended up with.

SWIM's jungle is much more crimson that that, maybe limonene pulls more than xylene, either way it is up to you.

The LC50 for inhaled Xylene is pretty low 28mg/meter cubed, albiet over 6 hours. Though it is not carcinogenic.

The red jungle seems to have a high vaporization point some putting it over a simmering pot while stirring the goo could make sure there is the least possible xylene in it.

If SWIY was to use it for pharma then SWIM believe it would be perfectly safe though.

Thank you, SWIM might just end up using it for incense or something of the sort. SWIM says it smells pretty good.

Any others have any thoughts?

SWIM has left the dish in room temperature for about 6 hours and this is what it turned into, small circles formed, what do you think this is? SWIM thinks its the remaining regular spice, not jungle.... but SWIM has no idea.

Is it safe?
they appear very red in the picture but SWIM says they really arent so red...

If you leave that longer that will prbably turn ou to be mostly DMT with a little N-Oxide.

I get red and yellow jungle. Don't know what makes the difference, maybe some different plant oils that come across? I was nervous about the yellow stuff when I first got it because it had been all red/brown before. Looked around at some old posts about jungle and discovered that yellow was a pretty common occurence.

Never had problems with either!

Can someone tell SWIM some general information about DMT N-Oxide? And how it differs from the regular Naphtha pulled DMT, and what is the regular Naphtha pulled DMT called if this is DMT N-Oxide?




By the way, SWIM says the circle formations are getting bigger..

i bet if you scrape that puddle around for a little bit you can get it to solidify

right now its starting to crystallize but it takes a long time for heavy goo like that to form crystals...so by stirring it...im sure you can get it to solidify much faster..it wont be crystalline..it will be more wax like

Heat will degrade dmt into dmt-oxide. Oxide is smokeable and generally a bit smoother, but the clear shards are best. The slower a crystal forms, the larger, purer, and prettier it is. There will still be residual oils, but there will be big ol' snowflakes in it if you vap at cooler temperatures. Open a window, cover it with a screen, and put a big fan on it so it ripples. Sometimes it will snow indoors if you vap in a cold enough room.

SWIM concurs. Scrape and spread it around thinly and firmly. It may take up to an hour, but it's better than waiting around for xylene to give a nasty gooey yield.
