Hello everyone,

I am very happy to be a part of the Nexus! I've been a lurker for many years and, well, now it's official... I am a member!

I've been a happy and grateful psychedelic explorer since high school, and discovered my relationship with DMT via Ayahuasca in college. I've been sitting with the medicine for about 8 years now. Jah bless the medicine!

I am a musician and artist but make most of my money through teaching and running a small business.

After a number of years sitting with the same ceremony facilitators, I was invited to "assist" and to provide music for ceremonies. This has been a true blessing and lead to many beautiful, heart opening experiences with an array of courageous individuals, as well as an opportunity to explore these healing and contemplative modalities on the regular.

Sadly, the facilitators I've been sitting with are likely to be leaving the state for a number of reasons, so I've finally begun the journey of sitting alone. I'm yet to concoct my first brew, but the time is near.

Sitting in groups is great and all, but some of the culture around it, at least hear on the west coast USA, has rubbed me the wrong way... A little overly sentimental... fluffy... melodramatic even...
I'm looking forward to exploring the medicine in a much more personal way.

I love exploring music. I'm an improviser at heart, living an embodied and interwoven echo of free jazz innovators, 20th century composers, and fingerstyle guitarists.

I paint abstracts, am in love with an amazing woman who also happens to be an amazing musician, and almost died when I was two days old a la pulmonary stenosis. That experience of near death as a newborn was relived vividly one evening with the medicine. It was like standing at Death's Door, and it shook me to the core.

Thanks for taking the time to read my introduction. I look forward to learning from and contributing to this community.

Peace!

Hey gustavanton . I liked your intro essay and I feel you on the group ceremonies. Things like that kinda freak me out when I’m on psychs. It’s not like I haven’t done it before but I prefer to trip solo or maybe in a duo. Anyways welcome again to the nexus ❤️ I’ll see ya around
This guys ego ^

Welcome (to both of us really) to our new online community from another musician and entheogen fledgling. Interesting tale well told!
