Just real quick. Have been messing around with the BLAB fasi tek. The first 4 or so pulls that were salted yielded more of a light orange/yellow hard/crumbly type'a furm such. Peanut brittly/typa look but eventually was crushed up. Tried 40mg the other night w/ 200mg harmalas and had the best experience of his life!


Now...My last two pulls (around 250ml) were put into a small but deep pyrex dish and FASI'd with a 100ml IPA99/5g fumaric acid..stirred.....dissolved....a bit of fumaric acid was left on the bottom but soultion was saturated..

Didn't end up using all the FASI solution (had about 30-40ml left). Once FASI was added clouds started forming heavily, and every 5 minutes or so I would add 10ml more each time until adding the solution just caused distortion and not clouds themselves..

Let sit for 24 hours..Gettin ready to pour off limo. And this is what the dish looked like after about 20 hours:







After drying with fan for some hours then scraping, there was 3.9g total yield of a lighhtt orange/yellow/white moreso powder..? This was not hard and crunchy like the first 3 or so pulls...here it is:









Is this DMT furm? Or do you think excess fumaric acid got left behind??

SWIM didnt try FASI yet but... fumaric acid supposedly should not be precipitating.. But even if so, there's a way to test.. which is basically to redissolve in water or IPA.. if using water like bufoman's clean up, the fumarate should dissolve but the fumaric acid would remain mostly undissolved. Or if using IPA it should be the inverse (now im not 100% sure anymore.. but anyways the water one should work).

(and neither would hurt it anyways so you can always recollect if it doesnt go as expected.. its worth a try I guess)

fumaric acid disolves in the ipa. Make sure to remember!

Which makes IPA a good solvent for cleanup, cause the fumarates don't dissolve, while the fumaric acid/excess limonene does

Well, before work today, dissolved the 3.9g of furm in 47ml of water, stirred, and ALOT of whitish substance fell to the bottom of the glass. The water on top had a very yellow color to it.

Decanted the yellow water into small round pyrex plate & put ontop of small room heater. Came home 4 hours later to find many spider-type crystals that formed! They are a whitish/slight yellow color.

Will let this air dry for a few hours then scrape!!

And the excess limo that was poured off yesterday is still forming alot of precips!!

UPDATE:

Scraped the now purified furm; went from 3.9g to 3.6g after cleanup..a little lighter in color. Have another 7g to purify now from a few days previous of pulls!

So in all there should be around 10.6-11g of furm once redissolved and evap'd!
