Hello!

I am very new to extracting DMT and plan on using the Lazyman's Tek for my first extraction. From what I have read, this tek tends to yield spice which is less pure/clean. In the FAQ, I see that once you have done a pull of your solvent you can redissolve the DMT into IPA and evap again for a cleaner product. Is this correct, or does it only work if you have done a freeze precipitation for some reason? I am also curious as to why this would result in a cleaner product since you are not taking out any of the toxic solvents but simply adding another thing to evaporate.

The main idea behind re-creating crystals of a solid is to purify it.

Sometimes this is through filtration where there are some insoluble impurities. So you break apart / filter and re-form.

Also when you start to regrow crystals slowly, they'll be more likely to join with a similar compound rather than others.
