Hey guys,

Recently my mates and myself have been interested in extracting dmt, we have all done dmt before bur never extracted ourselves. I found an acacia pycnantha flowering near where I live and heard that it contains dmt. Iโ€™m not too sure about the extraction process involving this specific acacia or even if this species is 100% confirmed to contain dmt in the phyllodes/bark. Any information regarding the specific extraction method or general info on acacia pycnantha would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

As with most questions, check the FAQ first, there are a lot of relevant answers there.

You can extract DMT from acacia using any of the normal teks for MHRB.

Happy readings, good luck, and be sure to let us know your results!

Thanks heaps I'll definitely keep you updated on how it goes!
Would you happen to know if its better to use the phyllodes or bark from acacia pycnantha when extracting? I read the links you posted above and it seems that there is conflicting information regarding this. Thanks again!

I attached a photo I took of the plant (Im pretty sure it is acacia pycnantha but better safe than sorry I guess).

You can post that picture here:

Some people with good acacia knowledge watch that thread I believe.

People have found that using bark from dead or broken parts of trees works fine, even old detached bark that has been sitting in mud has given good results. We ask that you harvest from those parts, and usually there is plenty of DMT to be had that way for personal use. Some acacias have DMT in the leaves and that may be worth testing too.

Once in Hawaii I felt tremendous sadness coming across a patch of trees that had been severely damaged by bark harvesting.

Good luck on your partnership with this plant.
