Hi all. Love the forum.

I recently followed Q21Q21's tek to a tee, except with ACRB. The result was a deep yellow vinegary fluid with some floating precipitates from repeated boiling with added water.

Then, I read that people were not fully convinced that the boiled vinegar dmt-acetate solution left a desirable product, so I attempted a cleaning process as follows:

~30 ml vinegar dmt-acetate solution
+
~50 ml tap water
+
~ 1 1/2 Tbsp lime [Ca(OH)2]
+
~250 ml 70% IPA

and mixed it all together.

A few hours later a large amount of lime, I assume, has settled to the bottom and the liquid is lightly yellow. My assumption was that the basified water + IPA would result in dissolved dmt freebase.

My plan and bottom line question are as follows:

I want to decant the liquid and evaporate. (Would boiling it away be non-preferable to room-temp evap?)
How much Ca(OH)2 will be in the evaporated remains considering its low solubility in water and IPA?
Can I further remove lime with additional IPA pulls? (I only have 70% atm)

I would love to slowly become an integrated member of this community, so thank you for tolerating my noobness!!!

Yeah, I just boiled it down in excess 190 proof ethanol, decanted out the alcohol from the insoluble Ca(OH)2 and evaporated down again. All is well. Cheers.
