The article itself is a bit confusing, but the news reports about it, are way worse.
They mention that "DMT" and "Cocaine" were found, but of course what was found were LEAVES containing those substances. In its isolated form, as widely known now, and hence what most people will think about while reading the news, they have existed only since mid twentieth century.
