So I almost forgot, although was reminded by some writing I found on this forum... so I thought I may share a short message regarding something very interesting that happened as an after effect of consuming iboga root bark for the very first time.
After consuming 5 grams of root bark and being introduced to the plant medicine in what I would consider to be a very unique and personal experience, all I could hear was the Hippie Sabotage song OM on repeat.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0qf0qRYRKsNow this was on day two and three where I was starting to add food to my body (fresh organic fruit to the likes of bananas and nectarines and so forth)... and my understanding is that this was part of the process of cleaning my brain receptors and helping cure any associated mental ailments.
Now I can't confirm this, although I do believe that once upon a time I bought what I thought was speed and little did I know I was actually buying some form of heroin... I did get hooked for a while, although when I decided to make the right decision and clean myself up from substance abuse... things got really fucking weird for me, although that's a separate story altogether.
The main point is that my crown chakra and brain receptors within that region had some sort of interference/blockage for many years. Even though I had made monumental changes to my diet and lifestyle to get things right... I really needed something like iboga to clean my brain so to speak.
Now back to hearing OM on repeat:The particular part of the song was that which contained the lyrics: "
Now that it's all behind me, I'm just going to enjoy my day, So good vibes come and find me, And bad vibes never come my way."
The effect would only take place once I ate the fruit, and then just rested letting my cells soak up and distribute all the natural energy found within... this was in conjunction with voices that I would hear associated with symptoms of schizophrenia being re-triggered in a way, although at the same time I had the feeling that was part of the clearing and healing process that the fruit together with the iboga could provide more efficiently than just one or the other alone.
This teacher plant spirit can give us the experience of death (a poem that I wrote about my experience), give us the opportunity to re-calibrate our thought processes to be more fine tuned and efficient, and even has a great sense of humor to boot...
Now there is the potential of a deeper hidden meaning and messages within all that, although I have found that sometimes it's best to accept the obvious for the simplicity and joy that it is, and then allow further insights to pop up spontaneously as opposed to straining or thinking about the topic or message or lesson to be learnt.
At the time I understood that the main part of the ceremony and experience was over and now I was weening myself back to a reality that I may partake in with a new found confidence, then each day as the volume dropped and got lower and lower I understood that the cleaning of receptors has continued and has been successfully taking place in the background, and overall it shows that the spirit of iboga was clearly communicating with me in the most beautiful and profound way!
The healing process obviously continues for a while after the original dose, and there is potential that more messages may come forth in unique and interesting ways that I would not have expected... that the iboga spirit and I have communed and could very well form a strong bond, possibly becoming a plant ally long into the future... or at least until the work is done and I may start communing with another.
Either way I feel that there is immense potential for healing the planet with sustainably harvested iboga bark, and the subsequent administration of this sacred healer to those that wish to participate not only with the apparent medicine, but also the necessary lifestyle changes to make such a journey a successful and worthwhile adventure.
