I'm a guy in my mid-twenties, and I started my journey with psychedelics almost three years ago. I've been a long time lurker of this forum because of all the helpful knowledge that exists here, and I have a ton of respect for those that contribute to this knowledge and community.

I've actually never done DMT, but I was attracted to the forum because of the attitude on here vs. a place like reddit... I made the decision to finally join after spending a few days researching while I did my first ever extraction of freebase bufotenine to make bufo changa (hoping to report my results and experience on that this weekend if I get a chance to try it). The experience was very rewarding and I learned a lot along the way. I'm now very curious to learn about what I could do with other plants and what extractions I could learn to do on my own.

Finally, I'd like to ask if anyone has any concerns about the safety of using the forum. Is it necessary to use TOR or any other security extensions? I've mainly used throwaway reddit accounts and haven't needed to provide an email (unlike here), but I'd like to build a reputation and make some friends here. Is it generally safe as long as no identifying information is shared? What's the general consensus about using "SWIM?" It seems to be an outdated practice, so I'm not sure if there's any benefit to using it instead of the first person.
