Okay so I know it's a thing that people make tattoo inks out of burned plant material. I also know that Syrian Rue has been used for various types of tattoo ink.
I know that our favourite barks also have a nice ruddy red pigment to them. Or a soft, reddish pink.

My question to the community is how one might go about making some inks using some byproducts of the process of DMT manufacture (which I know well, as do many of us).

Let's give this idea a go!Shocked
I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you Nobody too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!
I am the Walrus. Goo goo g'joob.

Hi cy6nu5,

Manufacture is probably the wrong word to use here. "We" don't manufacture DMT, at the Nexus; the plants do. The community extracts the things that the plants manufacture. Wink

And.... post extraction, no. Not viable, or worth the effort, trying to remove all the things you've mixed with the bark (i.e. naphtha). It would require equipment that most don't have; and if they do - then they are already synthesizing DMT and have no use with yanking up the trees.

I understand the fascination with the idea, and if you are keen to making your own inks, that's cool, but it would be a huge safety concern post extraction...
If we don't want the chemicals used during extraction to reach our skin, DURING extraction; then I'm from the mindset that I wouldn't want to put them IN my skin, after...

Take care,
ACY

I am going to add a little additional thought. If you just want to have a novel ink, then maybe just use the bark prior to extracting anything from it?
Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.
