Hello everyone,
I have long used dmt-nexus as a resource when I am researching new psychoactive substances, both to get a better understanding of effects from first hand accounts, as well as to get a better understanding of the alkaloids present and extraction methods. I am here now to share my own experiences so that I can contribute to the body of knowledge for psychoactive substances, for which there is relatively little formal research to draw upon.
My initial interest in psychoactive substances began in highschool, where I explored a few ethnogens, most influentially Psilocybe Cubensis. Later in college, I tried what was obstencibly LSD, and came to some life changing revelations about myself. Six years later, I have become interested in psychoactive substances again, this time specifically as a potential tool for finding a way forward, as five years ago I developed chronic pain after a botched surgery, which has since caused me to become extremely depressed. In addition to the intention of psychological revolution, I am also motivated by the potential analgesic properties of certain psychoactive substances, as pharmaceuticals prescribed to me have been inadequate thus far.
Aside from interests related to substances, I enjoy playing guitar, watching anime, cartoon, and tv shows, eating tasty food, cats, local adventures, and playing board games and tabletop RPGs.
I hope to have positive and enriching conversations with you all.

Enjoying food is something I have to work on. There's a select teas I drink but have been choosing not to be healthy. I eat about one meal a day but life in the hostel couldn't be more simple than eat, sleep, work. My creative side has been drawing a picture for my life through daily repetitive activity and dead space where I can heal. Food is something I can't wait to work on once I move to a flat. I studied video games and took a break since 2012. Health issues too I needed to work out. I seem to be i good shape now.

I'm glad you are in good shape now Due to my depression, while the food I have been eating is indeed tasty, it is also very bad for me, and as a result I have gained significant weight. My hope is that someday I will find an effective treatment so that I might free myself of theses mental shackles and get fit again.

Hello hexixt,
I've come here in a similar pursuit. I want to see if I can find relief from chronic daily migraine.
Have you tried anything yet? Or are you planning your aproach?
I am at the investigation stage. This is the first mention I have heard about psychedelics having general analgesic properties.
I will be very interested to know your approach, and how things work out for you.
Best regards.

ahamex: Nice to meet you! It is good to connect with someone approaching these substances with a similar intention. I'm not aware of any psychedelics that have analgesic properties, however there are a number of psychoactive entheogens and pharmaceuticals that have such effects. In the past I have taken Ketamine (prescribed), Opium seed pod tea, Opium + Belladonna suppositories (prescribed), and Vicodin (prescribed) for their analgesic effects, but unfortunately none have been particularly effective, either due to half life or efficacy. I am currently investigating my other options, and if I end up experimenting with further substances at some point, I will be sure to post any and all experiences here on dmt-nexus, so keep an eye out! Two psychoactive substances I am currently investigating are Amanita Muscaria as a topical compress, and Flying Ointment. Both require a significant body of knowledge and caution for reasonably safe use as both carry toxins, and so I am wary of them. Additionally, I am investigating Incarvillea Sinensis, which is an herb used in Chinese medicine that has analgesic properties and is ostensibly as effective as Morphine.
