Some years ago, SWIM was given an ounce of high quality bud by a friend.

Being a teenager and on his own one night, he decided he would smoke as much as he could, as quickly as he could, out of curiosity.

He rolled a number of large joints in preparation. Then, when they were all pre-prepared, he began smoking these joints through a hole in a 2 litre water bottle, doing it as quickly as he could, taking only gulps of air in between.

SWIM cannot remember how much he eventually managed to smoke, but he was rapidly incapacitated.

Within a short time, he was paralyzed sitting down, unable to move a finger, with his eyes wide open, and fluorescent fireworks going off in all directions, with his visual field covered with geometric patterns, and spinning multi-coloured wheels.

While he could still perceive the outlines of the real room within this paralyzed state, the open eyed visual field was fully overlaid with this multi-coloured, constantly moving tapestry. This psychedelic OEV kaleidoscope continued for a significant time, before - perhaps after an hour - it started to calm down, and within perhaps two or three hours he was able to move again.

-

Has anyone else had similar fully psychedelic OEV effects to SWIM from merely smoking a very high dose of weed? When SWIM asked his friends, they said "weed doesn't cause OEVs", which SWIM knows from experience is not true for him, at least in high enough doses.

All the time, I never use to before consuming other psychedelics because i guess i didn't know what i was looking for, but cannabis is extremely psychedelic for me now, in edible form its even more intense, i have discreet visuals all the time though, cannabis on psychedelics is ridiculous.

Weed can be quite strong psychedelic at high doses.
When some senses stop working, others become sharpened and dialogue with psyche becomes more manifested.

I personally have experienced not only OEVs, but other effects which are typically associated with psychedelics, like time dilation and stopping, dissoaciative effects.

And ever since I've smoked DMT, I always have CEVs on strong weed.

Approach MJ with respect, just as you would do with any other plant, especially if it's edibles Smile

Yes, cannabis has had this effect on me sometimes as well, especially with large doses smoked quickly. Also very much with oral cannabis.

Most intense was from freshly prepared shade leaf ice hash. 2 hours of (unexpected!) face down hyperspace, after smoking about 50mg (est.) Shocked

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

What kind of visuals do you guys usually get?

Spinning wheels, fluorescent fireworks, etc?

Correct me if I am wrong, but a shade leaf is a leaf near the bud that has a substantial amount of trichromes. Ice hash is more commonly known ad bubble hash, and is predicted but putting your plant matter, in this case the shade leaves, into a screen bag, inside an series of increasingly fine mesh screen bags, which is placed in ice water and agitated, causing the trichromes to fall off the plant matter and get caught in the subsequent bags.
It is by will alone that I set my mind in motion.

"Put the changa in the bonga! Make the spice much stronga!" - so says rOm and I!

The only open eye visual that I have experienced from cannabis was when I drank 8oz of infused coffee, whereupon I saw iridescent multicolor fractales mid air. Sadly, it only lasted a few minutes. I'd love to come across some cannabis that does it again.
