hey ya'll , new guy here . i have been reading here and i am just fascinated with the subject matter at hand . huge fan of terrance, i have enjoyed listening to that man quite a bit .

i got really sick in 2016 , after bowie died . like i wouldnt wish this on my worst - sick . i am an older dude and i have struggled with chronic back pain , i had gout in my knees for 12 years, i have had kind of a trying life physically but i am Very blessed and have a family .

On feb 10 , 2016 i had a severe reaction to testosterone replacement therapy . i suffered a four month panic attack . it felt a lot like when i was stung by a wasp and went into anaphylactic shock , or similar to a pcp overdose . i had a lot of side effects , here is a list : insomnia(five days no sleep) , i couldn't eat , no sex drive , i would feel impending doom / terror non stop , claustrophobia , it was like i was in fight or flight but i felt like i was tripping , in very bad way .

it lasted way too long . we sought doctors with no help . mind you i didnt even ask for the dang testosterone therapy that was my pain clinic - i am handicapped with chronic back pain .i saw a endocrinologist woman who yelled at me and then said that i yelled at her - she was really something ... long story short i stopped cold turkey with the t therapy and since then of course they put me on paxil , which i just got off ...thank god , do to some strong medicine my friend hooked me up with that actually worked .

so i still have my tired days , as i have been lethargic and sleep a lot , then cant stay awake , since 2016 . no help from any doc . i am so happy to be off the paxil as i gained a lot of lbs on that .

any way i am here to learn as i have questions. i know what is not allowed . i am not too a huge dummy , ha , i am 50 plus , so i am over my terrible twos . Many years ago i did my junior year term paper on the effects of psychedelic drugs on musicians , i love making music , guitar pedals and stuff like that very much . i make music with my wife using a drum loops , and we also have a family band with our two girls . i recorded an album in january which is up on my youtube , its guitar instrumentals with a twist , i lost two finger tips so i play using just 2 .

after my tough time , when i started feeling a bit better in 2016 i worked for a short time putting together a series of videos called " acid casualties" which lives on youtube , except the first episode - syd barrett , is on vimeo due to copyright strike for using a clip of arnold layne which i sped up and reversed used no audio but they still hit me ! oh well - david gilmour and his lawyers for ya .... i am more of a RW fan but i dont want to start a fight on my first post .

i am guessing some of you may have stumbled on those acid casualty videos . i enjoyed the process of making them but at the same time it took its tool dealing with that much heart ache , sorrow , and loss after coming off my own tough time from the severe reaction due to the testosterone replacement therapy .

at the moment we are in the process of loosing my mother as she is in hospice so i have some personal things going on ... we lost our dearest friend - goostie the black cat this January and that just killed me - he really was a special boy .... i know it sound silly but i bonded with him like nothing else and he was not ready to go . . . anyway , i hope you dont get too angry with me for typing as i don't use a phone or speak in emojis . i get in trouble alot for that but ...

so yeah if anyone is curious or wants to check one of those videos out look for the acid casualties series on youtube . i will supply links if that is ok ? i recently did another episode after finding out about Craig Smith/Matreya Kali from a "fan" of the oig series which was very cool , its a great story - Craigs , and the music is something special too . like i said i had never heard of him , but there is a book and music as well so def check that out if you dig old rock and roll - by old i mean when they used guitars and cigarettes not lap tops and box mods. no offense to the younger generation of music folks , but i like guitars .

i also wanted to thank yall here . this place is really something . wow that quiz ! lol . i must have flunked .

Hey Post, welcome to the Nexus. It sounds like you have had a pretty rough time, but it lead you to this amazing community, so at least the suffering was not in vain!

I am gonna check out the acid casualties videos, sounds like interesting stuff. Oh, and as far as I know, you can post links of your videos.

I look forward to seeing you around the boards.

With love and respect

Hey thank you lucid .

My wife and i went to visit my mom , who is on her first day of hospice... its a long way out there where she stays so we hit a few resale stores and i got lucky to find two vessels to give my pal . one is 750ml the other is 1000ml - both long neck style with round flask bottoms . they are both liquor decanter style bottles . my pal prefers those types of vessels ...

if you are interested in checking out the acid casualties videos , keep in mind , i used that name as a sensationalist attention grabbing title . through out the series , if one does consume it , one will see a pattern , starting with un-diagnosed mental illness , the age of the subjects , that was exacerbated by a legion of factors , the lsd being a small fraction typically . i didn't necessarily come out and blame it all on the substance . at the same time i felt a responsibility to discourage the party up or recreational attitude towards lsd . so it was a challenge ...

also - they arent perfect . i wasnt there . i am just a guy who gathered the info from online resources and regurgitate all that out into a series of videos . i am ok with the fact some of the spellings and pronunciations are off but i took some heat for stuff like that in the comment section . actually it was brutal on a few - the syb barrett one and the peter greene one .

the interesting thing is this - i was contacted by a man who is actually peter greenes estranged son . this guy showed me copys of legal docs , dna tests ... this poor guy told me he had learned a LOT about his father from watching my video . . . which to me was just insane , but i tried to stay in contact with him , which didnt work out as he was on the street facing his own demons .

here are the links to the series ...

https://youtu.be/zTSHBwTxdSI - vince taylor - good episode a bit long ...

https://youtu.be/5q2T6NAjclI - roky erickson - very sad story

https://youtu.be/tSybvw2BSkk - skip spence - my favorite episode perhaps - oswald ! - great music look for his lp "oar"

https://vimeo.com/218654769 - Syd Barrett the original pink floyd founder / vocalist / acid casualty numero uno - not the best episode , i actually detest it . the weakest of the series .

https://youtu.be/WSE3eQw-iSs - craig smith - most recent episode . great music .

looks like the peter greene episode is blocked - i am going to have to find that file on a pc which is not connected presently and then upload it to vimeo . this will happen but it will take a few days . that one is a very creepy story with legit kooky conspiracy theory elements that can be verified -usci obermayer and the "high fish" commune . i have no idea when this happened , must have been recently though as that one was up for a long time garnering a lot of drama in the comment section till i shut those off . i tend to not wish to be constantly attacked or have my work torn to pieces on a daily basis so ... if folks want to get nasty in the comments they get that back , or i shut the section off .

thanks for your interest , i would appreciate all the likes / shares and comments y'all can spare . Smile

Roky Erickson is a truely sad story. A jungle horse introduced me to Roky. Great music, tragic circumstances. Ca5nt wait to start watching your videos.

Nice find on the decanters!
