Hello!
I am new to the world of spice. Though I've had a good handful of experiences with other psychedelics (ie. LSD, Psilocybin Mushrooms), DMT has always been a curiosity, but not much more as I knew very little about it. A couple months back, a good friend of mine talked to me about it, and having been intrigued I decided to do some research of my own.
Google very quickly led me to the Nexus, and I have been lurking here ever since, going over various teks, reading whatever material I could find. In the past, I have found that I want to know exactly what I'm getting into before trying a psychedelic, as any substance as powerful as these should not be taken lightly.
Eventually, I decided to take the next step forward and get all the materials needed for extraction. I got some MHRB (thankfully enough there is actually an entheogen store where I live), and bought any extra equipment I might need. Before I start the extraction process though, it occurred to me that I still have a couple specific questions that I haven't yet been able to find the answer to. It also occurred to me that it was stupid of me for having not yet signed up here, as I've spent so much time the past few months going through and reading all that I can.
So here I am, I thought I'd come in and introduce myself. While I am looking for spiritual experiences in the vein that DMT is known to offer, I sadly cannot try any aya/pharmahuasca as I am currently prescribed bupropion, atomoxetine, and dextroamphetamine, all three of which are dangerous to combine with an MAOI. Though I know it's a bit of a stretch, does anyone know if these drugs would change the DMT experience in any way? I know the bupropion and atomoxetine greatly reduced the visuals while on LSD, but I was wondering if they would affect DMT in a different manner as it is a tryptamine rather than a lysergamide. I tried psilocybin before I was prescribed these medications, and haven't since so I don't have that as a point of reference.
