Anyone here familiar with the 2C-x family? I'd like to know if these compounds are worth learning to make and explore.

They are definately worth exploring. 2C-B is getting all the attention ofcourse, but some of the others are quite interesting as well. Maybe even more interesting. 2C-E and 2C-T-2 are both very much a standard hallucinogen like LSD or psilocin, but somewhat more manageable. A sort of LSD-light, if you will.
I don't know about making them.

Unless you're a chemist with a proper lab forget about synthesis. Check out PIKHAL #24 to get the idea of what you're getting into. I found 2C-E and 2C-P most interesting. They make the world look like an oil painting or an old movie of sorts... Quite similar in many aspects to LSD (waving and transforming shapes etc). They can be quite introspective at least in my case. Be inquisitive and always question things...

But these 2C-x compounds are so rare to find where I live that's why I asked. Anyone here done 2C-D? I'm interested in getting opinions about that one too, after hearing about Darrell Lemaire say it was one of his favorite compounds.

I don't know about making them. Are all of these compounds physically safe like say psilocybin, lsd and dmt? What's 2C-B like?

2c-b is a true gem. This imo, is Shulgin's greatest gift. Like MDMA, it can be overused/abused, but if you limit it to a few times a year, it's truly a special and magical compound. My take on all the others of the series is that they are worth exploring through the dose range, twice, but they don't hold a lot of value as long term allies, once you've run the gamut a few times, they really don't seem to have much moar to offer. I prefer the moar fun light-hearted group (2c-b,2c-c,2c-d,2c-i) to the more heavy introspective group (2c-e,2c-p,2c-t-2, 2c-t-7). Mescaline/cactus tops them all however, and has much moar value as a long term ally.

2C-B is a very nice compound, like dreamoar side, treat it like MDMA, use it a few times a year and it's very magical. I have personal experience with using it more often than I should, and it just isn't worth it. 2CC also looks really interesting, apparently the trip is supposed to feel very relaxing. The human being is this night, this empty nothing, that contains everything in its simplicity—an unending wealth of many representations, images, of which none belongs to him—or which are not present. ... One catches sight of this night when one looks human beings in the eye—into a night that becomes awful - Hegel
Anything perfect is worth destroying, in fact it is desirable to destroy it, true beauty lies in imperfection - Nietzsche
