How is marijuana still illegal in so many countries? The situations is reaching new levels of ridiculousness as more research comes out.

Hope they keep finding things like that. Perhaps that will get politicians to get a move on and abandon these stupid prohibition laws...

Can't wait for lettuce to become legalized here. How can you ban such a basic vegetable? Are carrots and beans next...?!?! ;-P

In practice it is rare for politicians to give rights back. In the US the people have TAKEN back their rights at the polls. I believe the only place where politicians have allowed people access to this natural medical plant is Vermont.

So the story seems to be that research alone is not usually enough. We need a social movement to recover rights. I say recover because marijuana was used for thousands of years before.
