Morning, afternoon, and evening to all you fine Nexians! How is everyone and their projects doing today?

I'm getting really excited, I'm gearing up for my first extraction that will take place sometime after the retrograde is over, using cyb's "Max Ion" tek. I'm not sure which I'm more excited, doing the extraction (I've had a love for chemistry since I was real little) or getting to do the end product.

What is your favorite part about extraction and using DMT?

Have to say this April's fool campaign makes things confusing but fun... :-)

Favorite part of the mistake is the smell of the root bark boiling. There's something about this smell that reminds me of childhood, can't put my finger on it though...

Make sure you use decent solvents. If you can source analytical grade, most are easily available on eBay. My favorite tek is toluene full spectrum extraction from alkaline solution and then if I needed I further extract/purify using heptane and freeze precipitation. Most of the time I don't do the 2nd step though as full spectrum extract gives a 'fuller' and more visual experience IMHO. Slightly more confusing at start but def more organic in feel to me.

Best thing about using kikker's glory? The door/ability to see things in a different light opens up. As if some dormant part of your brain wakes up from a deep sleep... :-)

I can't wait to smell the bark. I loved the smell of aya, and the nice little buzz I got from inhaling the small amounts of vaporized harmalas and DMT.

I probably won't be doing this very often, so I'm just gonna be getting good ole naphtha. My girl is kinda sketched out by it (even though we're the only ones that know irl). She doesn't wanna see it happen, know when it's happening, or even see the end product...but I think she'll want to try it. Well she does, but she wants to wait until it finds her, rather than doing what I'm extracting. Just means more for me lol

I've only ever done DMT once, at a festi, but didn't break through which was fine by me. I'd have to say my favorite part about it is the same as yours though.

I had/have the exact same issue with my better half. My approach is to describe all the experiences and lessons I gained and let her make the decision on her own eventually.

Some people can be much more close minded though when it comes to psychedelics. LDS tends to cause psychotic breaks in ppl who never tried it as they say... ;-) Silly social stigma.

Really hoping our cultural perception on this topic shifts eventually.

The interesting part about that is she'll do LSD or mushrooms, especially mushrooms, just about any time. It took me a decent while for me to explain that, if the universe permits it, there is no reason not grow your own mushrooms and I've been trying to get her to understand that with DMT. She was taught, that with psychedelics, to wait for them to find her. I was raised, in all things, to do everything I am capable of myself (that applies to life in general).

The thing that really confuses me, is that she'd rather wait until we go to a festi or burn and someone offers some. I'd much rather know for a fact that I'm smoalking DMT, and that it was extracted carefully and properly. To each their own though.

You'd think, living in the age of information, that the myths about psychedelics would have been irradicated. I know a decent bit of psychonauts irl, that still believe(d) that LSD stays in the spine, that the "becoming a glass of oj" stories are real, so on and so forth.

Society is startin to come around though, there's been an influx of psychedelic use over the past few years (at least as far as I've noticed), and with Cali and Colorado trying to pass laws to legalize psilocybin, I think it will only be another decade or 2 before we enter the age of psychedelic enlightenment. I could just be getting hopeful though lol.
