Swim found a large amount of trees that look like obtusifolia on his property in an area where they are confirmed to grow here are samples swim took a week ago what do you guys think?

Those seed pods don't match an obtusifolia. I'm assuming no flowers are present on the tree? I don't want to say its not an obtusifolia, but I personally don't think it is.

Also, for future ID requests, please use this incredible resource, I also recommend having a good look here before asking for an ID, you may find your answer!

no flowers on tree but recently dead pods which is what led me to believe its obtusifolia il check them out thanks
