Ursula K. Le Guin said when you light a candle you cast a shadow. I think that the shadow is just as important as the light. One cannot exist without the other.

That said I believe we humans are the same way. We contain both elements. Jung often referred to the shadow being the ultimate guide to yourself. The lessons contained within the shadows can be a transformative and beautiful. I have often said in my own life that I had to be what I was not enable to realize what I am. This duality is important to me in my life.

I have had many experiences with DMT and some were of light and some were very dark. The dark experiences showed me what I needed to work on. They contained lessons that the light could never have brought forth.

Be a light unto yourself Buddha said. That I agree with 100%. I think it is important to be yourself and shine your light for all to see. Someone may be in the dark and need to find a way out. If we all shine in this way the world would be a much better place. There is darkness in the world. I hope they learn what they need to in the dark. I hope they find the lessons. I see more and more people waking up and finding the light within.

I am not a spiritual person but I do subscribe to truths. This introduction is a truth that I have found in myself. I found it through a tough life and through psychedelics. I found it watching others. To me, Luminous was a suitable name for me to choose here. I would like to illuminate what I can and where I can, always knowing that the shadow in also very important.

I will share what I can in this way. I will share my light and my darkness.

I am very impressed with what I have read here on the Nexus. Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a wonderful day!

Good to have you here on the Nexus.

Never heard of Ursula K. Le Guin. But that is a side note.

I agree with your opinion about light and shadow, a good trip versus a bad trip. Both are meaningful. Bad trips are a warning, giving though insights, it showed me evil, or better, the evil hidden inside me. There is a balance in your soul and everyone has to work on it to let love prevail.

I am looking forward to read about your journeys.

Quiet the mind and the soul will speak
