Hello Nexians :-)
This is actually a second account- because I forgot the password to my old one! Don't worry. I wasnt very active beyond a couple Rick Strassman discussions so Im likely no one you knew anyways.
So here we are, back at the nexus.
I love reading the trip reports, information about the research projects, sage advice... and as well I find this forum to be very useful for information not even related to aya, such as uses for herbs such as lemon balm and passion flower.
So anyways, who is me and why am I here? Because I am a musician/songwriter and Im always looking for new perspectives, stories and headspaces to inspire me and help me continue doing what I love the most.
Ive always listened to music like Shpongle, Younger Brother, Entheogenic, OTT, Bluetech- this list can go on forever (globular is awesome also). Im also a huge fan of Psytrance as well. But Ive never tried to write music like that. That is until last week. Ive mostly made my career with corporate audio/stock audio and house music up to this point.
I am going to work on a listening experience in 2018, a start to finish album. While I can not make any promises as to the successful or effective execution of this project, it's a goal ive set for myself and I will be happy to share it with you all when the time comes.
Im just now starting to feel my way into Psychedelic Electronic Music, and I must be totally honest when I say the sound design and arrangements in these genres of music do not get the credit they deserve. For instance, "Bluetech - Somatic Serenade" is an unbelievable track, an amazing piece of work and it is but one drop in a large ocean of very talented songwriters and producers.
If anyone on the board is a producer/songwriter and has any insights to share, I'd love to talk to you!
I love the nexus, its research partners and its users. Thank you for maintaining this community and spreading a positive message across the board.
Cheers!
Im old and I talk about the past. Anything posted by this account is purely nostalgic and in the spirit of gaining perspective for my artwork.
